Manual Shifter upgrade?
I agree with pretty much everything that everyone has said. Though I do personally think that it is beautiful! Biggest problem I see is from the business side of things. That item is pricing itself out of the only market that would actually purchase it. They need to lower the price so that it could be an impulse buy or impulse gift request from a person that doesn't really know what they are getting into. Though they may not have done this due to production issues...I would rather believe that than that they are just greedy lol. My 2 cents.
I liked it as soon as I saw it. Looks very Ferrari-esque. I think it would give the Crossfire's interior a subtle "vintage" look.
I've never had the pleasure of driving a car that had a gated shifter, but the only thing I remember reading about them is that they do slow your shifting down. Makes it more precise, but more deliberate.
The price is a joke...a bad joke.

I really like the look of the gated shifter and don't mind paying the price whats $350 one new tire? I think it looks very classy and compliments the interior of our cars. Any hint on when they will be done with the ones for the limited models.
Bringing up a slightly older thread here but....
I love the look of this shifter plate. It really does fit with the retro/modern feel of our cars and would love to buy one, if it weren't so expensive. I can see that part of the problem is the conversion of the price from the Euro to the Dollar, that always makes things more expensive for us over here. Germans do tend to expect much more out stuff they make (look at our cars when they were new).
I would like to have a different shift **** to go with it though....

Before I bought my SRT, as you all remember I was looking at my share of Limited Roadsters.
I emailed Supermile to get a better ETA on the Limited kits, and in late December I got this response:

I think it looks great and if my car had a stick I think I would order one. Some will like it and some will not and if you like it why do you care what others think, its your car. As for the price well $350.00 isn't squat in the Sports Car or Hot Rod world but there is an answer for those who think its to much, don't buy one.

It seems to be available in both trims now...

Limited and base model different transmissions? Interesting. These days the finance guys have the last word and I cannot see how this is cost effective. If MB used un-usable throw-a-way-scrap parts there would still be the production and service costs. I find this just as interesting as the part being discussed.
I have an automatic and considered replacing my Miata with a stick NA but after driving two sticks decided to keep the Miata. I think the long clutch motion would be a bigger issue than the trim.
