SLK seats available on eBay
I was looking for some seat switches for my sl and ran across some charcoal power seats out of a slk from seller IKQonline. Last year I bought the same slk seats from the same place and they bolt right in. the power is there if you have a base model. Just a little adjustment to the wiring harness is all that is needed. I have been really happy with them and for under $400 including shipping what a buy!! so if anyone is interested jump on them.

yes, but with shipping, at least to my zip, they would be closer to $400. you might ask for some clearer pictures first. I feel the ones I got for my base mobel were the best buy I have ever had on eBay.

Are they noticeably more supportive or comfortable than those found in a Crossfire? I've got a big butt and a bad back. Mine just ain't that great for a long drive-it gets to hurtin' @ ~ 200 miles/3 hours.
The seats are much like the base model except they are perforated leather, so they breathe better and they have more comfort adjustments. I've had a SLK for about 6 years and have always preferred long trips with it until I put the SLK seats into the base model. My wife has the limited roadster and I like the SLK seat better for comfort, especially on the passeger side, because you'll have more adjustments with the SLK seat. the limited seats are a bit too firm for me and they don't snuggle/fit me in as well. I'm assuming these seats on sale on eBay will have the same 8 way for the passenger side as the 01 seats I got. I think most sport car seats are for slimmer butts. try to find a later model 170 slk with power seats on a lot someplace if you can and try them out. I really like them. I added a picture of them in my gallery if interesed.

Thanks for the opinions and suggestion! If I could find even a racing seat (leather, of course!) that didn't look stupid, I might even try that.
Pedro, a fella' that owns a local auto upholstery shop said he would re-foam and cover these for $400 apiece. He does bea-u-tiful work, custom/show cars and the like, but that's a bit steep for a sore back once in a while.
I'll look for an SLK/R170 and check it out.
Do seats from say, a 2003 C230/C320 fit? My neighbor has one and those suckers are NICE! Maybe some careful measuring is in order...

i would like to know if they are as thick as the limited seats, the issue I'm having is that I'm 6'2, i just need like 2 inches to sit in a perfect position, and the thickness of the limited seats don't allow for that .
room is a small issue with these cars, not great for tall people. If you have a manual tranny this can be a bigger problem with little leg room trying to push a clutch. the limited seats are a little thicker and trying to lay the seat back without putting my knees into the dash is a close one, but ok. I like to be reclined while driving and the SLK and base model cloth seats have headrest that pull up allowing the seat to go back further to where the headrest support bars can go right up to the gas tank cover/partition. with the headrest a little above the partition this allows the headrest to go back a couple extra inches making it just right for me. I think my base model is now the cat's meow with these seats and with some other cosmetic and functional modifications
