Default Help inside my trunk

Need your help please. I've looked in the owners manual and can't find the answer. I have a 2005 Yellow Chrysler Crossfire Limited Roadster. Inside the trunk under the protective carpet cover I seem to have all proper factory supplied items. But to the right (passenger side) there is a recessed pocket in the styrofoam floor thats about 11inches front to back, 4 1/2 inches left to right and about 6 inches deep. Can someone tell me what is suppose to fit in this cavity?

Thank you,
Pandaman

Nothing fits in it, it basically saves foam when making the part.
You can use it for whatever you want to.

+1 on this. Isn't it technically for a first aid kit though? I can't remember but I thought I read that some place.

You read wrong, the powers that be in the European Community would not allow a first aid kit to be buried under all you luggage in the trunk. Make sense?
The triangle warning sign is in the red case.

The First Aid Kit is Mercedes #A 193 860 00 50
The triangle is Mercedes #A 171 890 00 97

Default Thank you and another question about a blank key

Thank you for answering my question about the vacant space under the trunk carpet.

Now I have another question. Several years ago I purchased on Ebay a spare key for my 2005 Crossfire Roadster. I've done nothing with it but now would like to have to programed for my girlfriend who owns a twin to my Yellow Crossfire.

My question is: Did I make a poor purchase or is it possible to take the key to either a Chrysler or Mercedes dealer to have it programed? I would appreciate any suggestions and thoughts also if its possible to program do you have any idea of what I should expect to pay?

Thank you in advance, this Crossfire Forum is Great.

It was a bad buy if the case is shabby, the chip is not programed at the dealer and those that can program it will not do it. They want to sell you a new one.

The circuit board inside may be of use as are the batteries as long as they work.

New keys cost $150 to $175.

I have never heard of this website but the price beats out all others I have found. Do you recommend this site as a reliable and trustworthy?

Rob at NeedsWings is one of us.
I have never heard anything but good about him and all the transactions he has had with forum members. He is NOT the 'cheapest' source for many things, but he is the 'quality' source, and in some cases the ONLY source..

I personally have bought from him over the years :
1. oil catch can
2. new set of spark plugs and Magnecor wires as a package deal.
3. hex screw set for the valve covers
4. wiper nut caps.

We got a spare key from them.. after a run around with another site. Best move we could have done! If I recall had it within a week and plug and play ready to go..
