Close my door and the main bar came off in a second ......any way to repair i don't want to spend 220.00 for a new one ....i found a passenger side one but the guy says there different they look the same to me if you 180 the base piece

 

Did a little search and found this:

If you try to put the left hand cover part on the right hand main pull part you will find they have a different curve and not fit at all. They definitely are left and right assemblies.
The fix outlined by MAGNATUDE in the above post is a great fix.
