The cost for second Key
I asked my local Chrysler dealer to give me a price for a second key for my 2004 Crossfire. He said $210.00 plus Florida State Tax. Does that price seem reasonable ? Thanks
Just replace the chip and guts to the new Fob and there you go! Enough left over for keg!
You'll need the keg.. when you find that the shell is the only thing usable.. might as well just spend the 12 bucks or so for a "blank" fob. And that is just to pretty it up since "non functioning" isn't fixed unless it is just the fob button "missing".
Needswings is your best bet for a secondary key.

The amount of "mis information" any more is almost getting ridiculous. Noticed a few statements on the FB page.. not going to argue a point there.. I do enough here.. LOL
I am a newer member also. After some research, I got my extra at Needswings. It got to me (in Florida) in a matter of days and had the programming instructions which were very easy. I would recommend going that route.
Did you actually "need" to program it? I ask as ours from them for the wife's car came plug and play ready to go.
Myself and "FTroopChief" got new keys from the Dealership $153 Incl Shipping and we both had to programme the Lock/Unlock.

"I spoke to my Parts Dept. and we actually need to have the vehicle here, because we need to fill out an Exchange Entry Form. Which means we have to take accurate measurements of the key. You need to come through our Service Department The cost for the key is $192 plus $115 to program it."
Unbelievable, $115 for pressing your key twice ... I'd never buy a car or anything there!

Highway robbery.
Does the needswings fob come with the key? Or do you need to insert your old key into the new fob?
One of my fobs has a broken key so I would need to have a useable key with the new fob..
