Default What adhesive to reinsert rubber(?) trim on door sill

Rubber(?) / polymer molding came out of track from taper at rear of door opening as it curves upward for 18” above sill. Doesn’t appear an adhesive was used but just pressed into small channel. Tried to press in , but does not stay. Thought about using super glue, but thought I would ask the experts first

Are you sure you cannot crimp the channel closed a bit on the weatherstrip and make it hold ?
That's what I do with the weatherstrip when replacing convertible tops.
