Default Dome light

I turned the switch to stay on when doors open but when I close the doors they won’t turn off. Brand new bulbs but no idea how to get the interior lights to turn on when I unlock the car or open the door and turn off on lock and when doors are closed. Need help!

There are two switches on the map light, a slider switch which determines if the light comes on when a door is opened or the car is unlocked or does not come on when a door is opened or car unlocked, this has the light turning of automatically. There is a push button switch that turns the light on or off with the doors closed. The switches are near to one another, I think your slider switch is in the permanent off position with the doors open, closed or unlock position.

.

Page 94 & 95 (in my 08 owners manual) covers both the sets of lights (operation) in the dome assembly. Good luck!

I understand the switches. It is in the position to turn on when the doors are opened or unlocked, I mentioned that already in my first post. With the switch in that position the light just stays on it never turns off.

Sorry, the wording was taken differently.
Your problem is the CLP/SSM (pump) in the trunk not timing out. Maybe there is water around it from a leak.

Where in the trunk is this pump and do you know how I access it and stop a leak if there is one?

The pump is under the trunk mat and covered in a form block. Check if there is any signs of water in the pump well and around the foam by sliding a piece of paper down the sides of the foam.
Getting to the pump is a major operation and not worth the effort if not required. The pump is responsible for more than just opening and closing the door locks. It times out the lights inside the cabin and the outside lights when the ignition is turned off when the lights have been on.

Thanks. I do know that the outside lights after locking the doors stays on for a minute then turns off eventually. The door locks work fine so it’s odd it is just the interior light running an issue from that same pump. I’ll see what I can do, thanks again.

Hi all another issue with SRT.
I posted on another thread about my fog lights not staying lit after I get out of the car anymore.
I also have the map lights not coming on when I get out.
they come on when I hit the unlock button on the fob and stay on until I start the car.
they will come on when I open the door and the dome light works.
when I park and turn the headlights off and get ready to get out nothing.
I do have a battle with water in the trunk from a leak around the fuel inlet.
pneumatic locks work great.
I do have the siren removed right now for repair/replace.
I also have my trunk light removed due to blowing the top left top convertible cylinder this week.
Could I just have the switches in the wrong position some how?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
UPDATE:
Found the problem. CPS and the 18 pin connector under the cargo compartment on the passenger side had lots of water damage. I ordered a new CPS from needswings and Needswings stated they have a rebuild kit for the 18 pin connector. Mine had a few pins broken off due to corrosion. I found my answer on this forum with some reading found that 180 had mentioned that the CPS module controls that part of the fog lamps and map lights when you turn off the car. I will update again when parts come in and final repairs are made.
Thanks again for all those that help here. It is truly what makes this place great!
