Gentlemen - I went thru my owners manual to try and find out how to brighten or dim my gauge lights on the dash. The manual says to push in on the light control **** and rotate to change the intensity of the dash lights. My XF is a 2005 Limited Coupe. Doing as the owners manual says does nothing for the gauge lights. All it does is either turn on the headlights or the parking lights, depending on which way the **** is turned. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? The manual should be correct but it's not working for me. I tried it with the car running and with the engine off - no difference. If you can help me out I'd love to hear from you.
Your're using the wrong ****. The adjustment for your dash lights is the little silver **** that looks exactly like your odometer reset ****. it's between your gas gauge and speedometer. At zero the red speedometer needle points directly at it. just turn it to adjust ,you don't have to push it in
