Default water in floor pan behind driver seat

Having trouble tracking water entering the floor pan behind the driver seat on a 2004 base model. Have checked and tested wiper drains and no issues at all. Door window is tight, door seals good and no issue with small side window, hatch wiring grommet appears very good and stabilizer wing drains good...where is the water entering driver side of car coming from? Any body else with this issue??? Lorne

Maybe the body plug behind the driver seat is missing.

I had this issue awhile back on my 2007 Coupe. Ended up being water entering thru the threaded holes where the factory dead pedal was mounted. I had removed the factory one and installed a M-B version that matched the bright pedals in the Coupe. What I was never able to understand is why this wasn't an issue for a couple of years after I installed the M-B dead pedal and then suddenly allowed water to enter the floor pan.

Keep telling myself to remove the factory dead pedal, plug the holes for the screws and then re-install the M-B dead pedal. Curious if water comes back

Dead Pedal isn't actually a M-B part. It is a "look-alike" that is of reasonable quality. You can do a search on eBay or Amazon (where I purchased) using the following:

Stainless Steel Footrest Foot Rest Dead Pedal Pad Cover For Mercedes Benz A B C E S CLS SLK CLA GLA GLK ML G GL Series

Dead Pedal is somewhat universal across M-B product lines. Cost me $20. I used industrial strength, double-sided tape to hold it in place. Worked fine; never had the dead pedal come loose.

Happy Hunting
