Minnesota X-fires
Meet iin the parking lot between the Freight House and the river in Stillwater MinneSNOWta tonight about 6:30 p.m.????? Stillwater is 18 miles NE of St. Paul, right on the St. Croix River.
Map: http://tinyurl.com/5b3bxq
Only problem might be that on Friday nights that parking lot really packs out, If full then the next lot along the river just north of the bridge.
I can be there. Family problem resolved overnight. But if no one else is going to be there I'll stay home. How about a show of hands of who would like to meet there tonight?

I'm game if we can get more than 3-4 people out there. Maybe it would be more enticing to everyone to find a place more central for everyone. Don't have anywhere in mind but maybe someone else has a suggestion.

That's what we need to do. Mine prolly doesn't belong there as it's still in rough shape but The NoKeyGo might be something for everyone to see.
Yeah, let's forget Stillwater for tonight then and those that can make it can do Cars & Coffee tomorrow morning. Maybe we should plan for a Sunday in the next two weeks or so to meet in Stillwater then take a ride North Along the St. Croix River for a "Fall Color Run"???? How does that sound. Maybe find somewhere to eat along the way, or as a destination. Possibly North along MN 95 to Taylor's Falls, then South on the Wisconsin side, then South to Somerset, jag a bit over to New Richmond, and south on 65 just a bit to Ready Randy's which is just north of I95. That way after dinner those who want can just shoot onto I95 and head back into the Ciddies. ???
Maybe meet up at 12:30 and take 2.5 to 3.5 hours depending on stops made, as it is only 65 miles total. A beautiful ride and I know a lot of curvy back roads between Taylors Falls and New Richmond.
Here is a sample route that is 66.5 miles: http://tinyurl.com/3jh8hp
What say eh???

A good time was had at the Cars and Coffee. Meet a few new XF owners. Seems like me an Soronoros are the only guys in MN with base coupes. What gives?!?! JK Tones of cool cars there. Saw the new Nissan GT-R. Wow, do they look sharp! Lots of Porcshes, Bimmers and Audis. Few Corvettes but didn't see a ZR1 like I thought I would. Pretty much makes you wanna win the lottery seeing all these cool cars. All in all, it was nice to meet up with the guys from the forum and see some cool cars. Soronors, make sure you post pictures as I tarded out and left my camera at work yesterday.
Also, when are we doing that last run of the year?

Wow, great turnout today from the MN XF'ers: 16vJab, Jonnyangel04, rcompart, SRT-SIX MAN, me. The day started off cold but the weather was beautiful when I finally got there!! After spending a few weeks in wet and gray VA I have to say that MN winters might be cold but days like today make Spring, Summer and Fall here some of the best weather in the upper 49! Sorry, I digress...
The Crossfires represented with two beautiful base coupes and three gorgeous SRT6's, all lined up on the far right paddocks, next to a few GTO's, a Caddy and in front of a section of S2000's.
Heading into the center paddock area we passed numerous Honda NSX's and C6 Corvettes. On the right were a combination of Bentleys, a Corvette Stingray, Dodge Vipers and a whole host of Lotus Elise/Exiges. Onto the left were a collection of 993,996, and 997 Turbos, after passing by a Lamborghini Gallardo. Turning right again were a few Ferraris and Maseratis, but the centerpiece for me was the Nissan GTR idling in the parking lot! Holy smokes...
Unfortunately, the VW and Mercedes Benz sections were kind of "out of the way" so to speak, but they still brought some very cool cars.
We also got a chance to see rcompart's nokeygo, which is looking to be quite the mod. I had a lot of fun.
GDC-SRT and Doyen we missed ya
