Anyone here from mn. thinking about making the trip to the Tail of the Dragon meet? I have been kicking around the idea but haven't decided either way as of yet. I hear that TVT design is going to be down there and offering ECU tunes on the spot for $315.00. I was thinking of throwing the idea out at my wife but hoping to find out if any others were coming from mn. first. Anyone interested let me know.

 

I might. I'm from Knoxville and my parents live about 35 minutes from the Dragon, so I already have an excuse to go and free housing/food as an incentive. The only issue is that I'm already flying down to Knoxville 3/20-3/23 for Easter, and I'll probably be driving the dragon then, so I don't anticipate a burning desire to drive down two weeks later.

That said, it sounds like there will be a lot of people there. There's no doubt it will be worth the drive once you get down there!

If you don't end up going to the Dragon meet, consider a local Minnesota gathering. I'm planning to track the XF at BIR on 5/12 at the PDS. JonnyAngel04 drives an SRT and is interested in cruising. BlazeRed215 mentioned cruising around Winona.

 

I have been thinking about going to the dragon, At this point it depends on weather and work. I have a sister living in New Bern, and would continue on to that destination after the week-end.

 

I have been down to that area and thought it was great. Would be an excellent drive through the mountains. I was also looking forward to being able to have my ecu tuned while I was there rather then have to send it out. Something makes me a little nervous about mailing the only ECU I have out. Dont suppose any of you know of somewhere local to get that done?

 

If any of you decide to go you could meet myself and Gary on the way down. I plan on taking I-75 down from MI. and hooking up with Gary in Cinc. Ohio. If your interested pm me.

Ya Minnesota folks and anyone else north of Illinois can join me in Illinois and ride my tail to Marydale Kentucky.
It is about 5 hours from here and another 5 hours from Marydale to the Dragon.
This is where I will be meeting Crossfirefrank driving from Michigan for the trip to the Dragon. My departure will be early Thursday morning. You are welcome to drive to Aurora,Illinois and stay a night at my place. I have plenty of guest beds and we can leave together from here Thursday morning. This is a serious offer and anyone interested send me a PM and we can exchange some phone numbers and discuss this further. Give this some serious thought it will work out well for you guys. Gary

 

I won't be able to attend but I am 15 minutes from Gary and I have three guest bedrooms available for any who are headed that way.
