Hello everyone. The weather is turning nicer in the next few weeks and I would like to plan the first cruise/rally of the year. I am thinking of keeping it simple and cruising up rte 3 in Il towards Pierre Market. There is a great restaurant on the river there that we can have lunch at and then take the ferry across and come back through the country side of St. Charles. Tenative date is Sun May 4th. Anyone interested just let me know.

Shark067,

I'm up for it, if the water is down. Think about going up to Clarksville/Louisianna and coming down 79. Pierre MarQuette Lodge has a very good restaurant. They have an excellent Sunday Brunch but it can get crowded.

Spring '08 Crossfire Rally.
Ok gang, here is the skinny on the where and when.
We will be meeting at 9:30 am in front of the Muny in Forrest Park and leave for Pierre Marquette in IL.

We will stop for lunch at the restaurant there. After that we will continue north and cross back into MO at Clarksville. We will stop at Clarksville for a break and sight seeing and then return to St. Louis.

Anyone else who wants to come along is more than welcome. Just please send me a message so I know to look for you that moring. Also if anyone needs my cell phone number send a PM.

Till then,
Kell (shark)

P.S. If anyone has any of those two-way radios please bring them with you. They may come in handy.

Well that depends on what you want to do. Check out TVT, he is on the forum and he has a couple of different items you may be interested in. I put a Sprint Booster in mine to take the lag out of the accelerator. Best thing I ever bought.

St Louis Metro group had a great cruise today. Pics are coming but I thought I'd post something.

Cathy and I had a great time. Haven't seen her have this much fun in a while. Great getaway to Pere Marquette for lunch and fast cruise up the river road to Louisiana MO.

Lou and Peggy were there with his gorgeous SSB coupe. Shark067 had his Black on black coupe. Cathy and I (newbies) were in our SSB roadster and the other newbies, Scott and Shawna rounded us out with a black on black roadster.

Please take note! All the cars were manuals. Like it should be.

First time I ever ran high speeds for any length of time. Lots of triple digits time. Awesome day!

Now I know us normally aspirated Xfires do not come with an OMG switch. But, with a manual tranny, at 60 MPH, just push the throttle hard in fourth gear and press the clutch in a bit. Slam to third as the engine revs and let it back out. Don't take any pressure off your right foot. Ever!

OMG! I have never driven, much less owned , a car that just couldn't wait to get over 100MPH. OMG!

All day today, we got to do OMG!

OK, now that I'm home, I'm going to have two fingers of scotch now. And try to relax.

Great day today!

OMG!

Hi all,

I'm over here in Mascoutah, IL - about 6 miles East of Scott AFB.

I'd be interested to hear of any local get togethers.

Cheers

Kevin

I think we could make an exception. I would love to see your Blaze Red coupe in my mirror.
