Greetings from Steamboat Springs - new owner of an 06 Limited Coupe - Blaze Red - would love to joinin on the Aspen trip, but leaving for CA on the 13th and won't be back in time - I've been extrememly active in the DeLorean community for the 26 years I've owned one and I hope to be equally active in the Crossfire community. Blackberry may not want me to join since I will rob him of the "oldest" title being a young 75!!

FWIW, my DeLorean is far from stock. My Crossfire is bone stock at this moment. Magnaflows get installed on Thursday - and that is probably just the beginning. Car only has 4600 miles on it. I'll add 10,000+ per year.

Look forward to keeping in touch. Currently plan on doing the "Tail of the Dragon" Halloween weekend. Should be great fun. Feel free to contact via PM.

Okay guys, I'm about to dance a jig. I think I'm gonna make it finally to a get together
Is there anybody else that is coming from my end of the world?
Is there anybody else that is going to be in the Springs the night before or anything? I am undecided as to whether I am going to come up the night before, or get up way too early and make the drive.
Also it is a race night for me the night before, so not sure if I am coming over the co-springs way, or going to leave from Grand Junction and go the 70 route, and try to meet up with the denver crossfires?
Are we still going to meet at the garden of the gods entrance/visitor center?
Sorry about all the questions. lol

Awesome!

I think we are planning on meeting at the Garden of the Gods Visitors Center (east side of the park) at 8AM on Saturday, September 20.

I am hoping lordofmalkier is coming. If so, I hope that we can hook up around 7AM near C470 and I-25 and go from there. Hook up details for the Denver folks will be finalized next week.

BC, glad to hear you are going to make it. Itsky is right about meeting at Garden of the Gods Saturday morning at 8am in the visitor center parking lot.

If you are going to come to the Springs on Friday how about getting together for dinner with me (R.J.) and Mary. We are school bus drivers so it would be arouind 6pm to meet. Anyone else coming to town drop me a note, we would love to meet up with all.

The other option BC would be to meet you in Buena Vista on Saturday morning. Are you going to spend the night in Snowmass on Saturday night?

Extended weather looks like it will be in the 70's in the Springs, Aspen 69 for a high and sunny both days.

Yeah, me too
I haven't decided yet, whether I am going to do my final race on friday night or not. If I go racing friday, i will drive up after the races, and be into denver by 6 / 7 AM. If I dont go racing, I will probably crash the night before at my sister's house in the springs.
If I am up there, I would enjoy having dinner with you guys Thanks for the invite.
Either way that I decide to come up, I'll let you guys know
Oh, and I hadn't decided about the stay over yet? Will be based on whether I can find a good seat cover for the passenger seat. lol

Just keep us posted. I understand there are some real nice seat covers on the internet. Either way we are all excited to have you join in.

Sorry I haven't been posting guys... I thought I had it set up to email me every time someone posted something new, but I must have done something wrong because I haven't gotten a notification all week. I've been busy and continually putting off checking to see about updates, only to sign on and see the addition of a new member, as well as a full new page of posts. I am definitely planning on this trip as I've been talking it up at work all week. Itsky, just to be clear, we're gonna meet 7 am on Saturday and make the drive? I keep seeing all of this overnight talk and some of it has got me a little confused. This is just a one day trip or a two? As far as I could tell, I was thinking some people were having to make a leg on Friday night in order to make it up there by Saturday morning, but just looking for a confirmation on this.

Thanks, guys, looking forward to it...

I think I'm the only complicated one that is making it more of a trip, due to my location?

lordofmalkier, the overnight part is very optional. We found a place in Glenwood Springs (see next reply for more information). If you want to stay overnight, you are welcome to do so. You and I (and my wife) can meet at a little coffee place off of Lincoln and I-25 at 6:30 for some coffee (if you want) or just meet at 7 and go down to Colorado Springs to hook up with the rest of the crew.

Detalis on the coffee place:
Caribou Coffee
12624 Washington Lane
Englewood, CO 80112

It's just east of I-25 on Lincoln about 1/2 mile or so.

If you want to grab coffee, let's plan on meeting there at 6:30, otherwise, let's meet there at 7AM.

HOTEL INFORMATION FOR THE ASPEN CRUISE:

After searching for reasonably prices places, we found that the Cedar Lodge has the best rates. Hotel information:

http://www.cedarlodgemotel.net/

Rates were $99.50/night as of today. This is about $50+ cheaper than other places in town.

Itsky,
Made my reservations at Cedar Lodge for Saturday night. I did some checking on restaurants and found a place called Rib City that looks good for dinner. Here is the web site for those coming to take a look at. http://www.ribcity.com/

We are also talking about going to the Glenwood Springs hot springs & pool late that afternoon. There also is an inside pool and hot tub at the motel. Everything is optional regarding any of these suggestions. If you have any other ideas just post them and we will take a look.

Looks like this trip is definitely on! I haven't checked in for a while but it looks like the meet-up is at the Garden of the Gods restaurant at 8 AM Saturday the 20th. Do I need to make any reservations for the shuttle bus to Maroon Bells or is that part still on? I'm looking forward to making this trip and meeting everybody!

Meet at Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 8AM (east side of the park). I don't think reservations are needed for the bus ride as I definitely didn't make any! I look forward to meeting you as well. See you on Saturday!

Colorado XFire,
Glad to hear you are making the trip. Itsky has it right, we are meeting at 8am Sat. morning at the GOG visitor center. We thought we would have breakfast at the Hungry Bear in Woodland Park around 9am. We are spending the night in Glenwood Springs. This is optional as you can make the trip back in one day, check the previous threads for the motel location (Cedar Lodge) and web site if you are interested. Bring your swim suit as some of us may end up at Glenwood Hot Springs and Pool. The ride on the bus to Maroon Bells runs all day. We will buy tickets there and just get on and ride, don't forget your camera. PM me or send me a note at rj_b_2003@yahoo.com if you have any more questions.

Absolutely... Mary and I would love to meet you for dinner Friday night. How about Famous Daves Barbeque on the north end of town, around 6:30? I think everything will be busy but we can just take a chance. Do you have a favorite place you would like to go to?

ColoradoXFire would you like to come along?

my cell is 339-4453, we will finish work around 5:30 give us a call.

6:30 at Caribou Coffee sounds good for a meeting place/time; I know where that's at so it shouldn't be a problem for me to get there... looking forward to meeting everyone.
