ColoradoCrossfires Poker Run Sat. May 30
There is a poker run on May 30th sponsored by the Colorado State Pupil Transportation Association. I have included a web site which also has a place to download the registration. I have never been on a poker run but it sounds like it might be fun. It starts in Denver and ends with a picnic in Castle Rock. I am planning on registering the morning of the event just in case the weather is bad.
If the weather is nice maybe you would like to come along. I think it would be a kick to have a bunch of Crossfires show up with all the Harleys that will be there.
What do you think?? Any of you interested, I'd love to have company.

You drive around to different locations and get your card punched with each stop and recieve a playing card to build a poker hand. I'm not sure how many stops there will be but at least five if they are playing draw poker. Since I've never done this before I am going on limited knowledge. Maybe someone that has been on one could enlighten us.
Colortado Springs drivers will meet at Gunther Toodys on Woodmen by Walmart, at 6am for breakfast. We will be leaving at 7am for the drive up to Denver from Gunthers. The sign-in is at Transwest Trucks on 77th ave in Commerce City between 8am and 9:30 am.
It sounds like we will be traveling to different transportation facilities in and around Denver. There is a $25 entry fee per vehicle and there will be a picnic in Castle Rock at 3pm with prizes awarded for the best poker hands.
If you are coming from the Denver area, maybe a meet at the coffee shop. There will be a lot of motorcycles coming from the springs and so far I will be the only Crossfire that I know of. If you want to go and meet in Denver and drive over, drop me a note and I will break off from the group and meet up with anyone interested.

We had a great time on the poker run. 30 Harleys, 2 Crossfires, 1 Corvette, 1 Mustang plus all of the support help. H2BL8 met blackberry for breakfast at 6 am in colorado Springs. Blackberry left with 10 cycles for Denver where we picked up itsky and registered in Commerce City for the Poker Run. We finished around 3:30 pm in Castle Rock after touring all over the Denver suburbs. The Eagles Club was our final destination for a barbeque and wrap up. I met some really nice people and learned a lot about poker runs. I also found out about cruise nights in Golden, Co. from the Corvette driver. It looks like we may need to make a trip up there on the 5th of July. The Golden Super Cruise check out the pictures on this web site. It would be fun to have a bunch of Crossfires show up for this night.
I have posted a few pics in my gallery of our trip.
