Finally! But still kinda fail...
I am a multi-car, multi-bike owner so I don't drive the Crossfire every single day. Despite that, I am always on the look out for other owners. Crossfires are fairly rare around here so I am always pleased to see one but the damndest thing is that I never see them when I am actually in my own! Get togethers being the exception, o'course.
Well this is the week of change...coming home from work Tuesday in the Roadster, top down, sun shining and I saw a black SRT6 roadster (I know - the rare). Then today, again on the way home, only this time the top was up as it was raining pretty damn hard, I see an aero blue NA roadster (I think it was aero blue, it was raining pretty hard).
Why is it still a kinda fail? Because traffic and pesky red lights and the weather prevented me from getting close enough to say a proper "hello". I did wave to the NA but I don't think she saw me.
I'll be in my baby tomorrow - will I see you, fellow Coloradoans?

In have that same thing happen to me all the time Bat. Although yesterday I took a different route where I normally do not ever go as it's really out of my way, and I'm in the cross and I see out of the corner of my eye a black NA roadster, and it may have been a base, pull out of a street and go by me the other way, and I didn't even get a chance to wave.
It's funny, isn't it? I felt a little sad that I missed the opportunity to connect, if only for a few seconds.
I used to have this incredible camaraderie with PT Cruiser owners when I first bought her (first model year). There were so few of us that people would honk and wave wildly to each other upon spotting a fellow owner. We did cruises and spent a lot of time at lights and in parking lots talking to people about our unusual cars. Now they are a dime a dozen and that mystique is gone.
I hoped to regain it with the Crossfire but there are even fewer of us and much more difficult to spot. I'm also rather sad to see the price drop so dramatically during the end days of the car as more people that don't really want this particular car are buying them due to low prices (same thing happened with the PTs only with availabilty rather then price drop as they were never really expensive), hence the lack of "community".
At least there are still all us nutters here on the forum, eh? Lol
