Evan Barrett We can meet for breakfast at the Egg & I in Boulder on Baseline (2574 Baseline Road, Boulder, CO – near the US-36 and Baseline intersection) at 9:00 AM. After breakfast (about 10:00 AM), we can then drive up to Estes Park on US-36. This should take about an hour.

 

It would be nice to get one more drive in this year. Would anyone be interested in a drive to Colorado Springs on October 20th?

Anybody else intertested in a good drive and some nice Fall scenery before the snow flies?
We could all meet somewhere for a late breakfast ? And drive to see seven falls and up through manitou etc ? Or maybe RJ has a different route we could take this time?

The topic of getting together was brought up and Marilyn would like to know if everyone would like to show up at our place for a Christmas party say Dec 22nd maybe? 5 or 6.......whatever works for everyone. Everyone bring a dish and do a white elephant gift exchange ? We are open to any and all suggestions?

Are those tame chipmunks still at Estes Park at the top of the cable ride ?
I spent a year in Denver back in the 60's and that is one of the memories I cherish....
Sitting there in the May sun with 4 or 5 chipmunks crawling all over me and pulling peanuts out of my shirt pockets ........

Alex, I was thinking about your time here in the 60’s and asking about the chipmunks. There is news for you, good and bad. You see a lot has changed in Colorado since you were here. Remember , it was the 60's. You see pot is legal now if you have a dr. prescription. There are 586 pot dispensers’ in Colorado ..... and well, your chipmunks have survived well. The pan handling paid off. They bought a license for dispensing, grew beards, long hair and talk funny.. thousands of people are now flocking to the lift to see them and taste a bit of Colorado. They now own the lift too along with a pot bar in Breckenridge. Oh yea, they also own the peanuts dispensers..

Hey all, i saw a mention about a drive on the 20th of this month? is that a for sure, or anything come together on it? It looks like I might actually have that weekend off. Drop a line and hopefully see ya'll soon

 

I plan on making a drive on the 20th as Tom suggested......unless it's snowing to beat the band.

Sorry for the slow reply, but we just got back from the Dragon vacation tonight. I wish I could join, but I will be flying out to Vegas for convention on Saturday. Take lots of photos and have fun!
