Trail My family (and me when I can afford it) collect old colts and winchesters and civil war guns, We have about 40 WWI guns. I have a Winchester 1866 .44 Henry and a winchester 1873 .44-40 as well as a Colt Peacemaker. I had several trophys in high school competition and qualified in the Army as expert.
I'm a tomboy at heart..I want to join a civil war re-enactment group when I get back to Texas but hard to find ones that accept girls. Heck all those rebels had long hair.

One reason I'm heading home to Texas is better gun laws.

Great to hear about the collection. I now have a only one shotgun, it's my favorite, a Winchester1897 12 gauge. My Colt's are Single Action Army in .45 Colt and I just bought a Taurus PT1911 SS, Stainless steel. It has two 8 rnd mags and shoots spot on at 25 yds. Out of 50 rnds of semi wads, I threw one eight and one 9, all the rest tore up the black XX ring. I also fired expert throughout my time in the military and after when I qualified to carry.
Be glad to see you at the range any day and you can be my backup anytime.
Rick

62 years old, there used to be something in my chaps, now pretty much empty promises.

Well Pardna, it sounds like Crossfirefun's car. You better feed it some wild oats or give it to the glue factory. Bruce says you like photgraphy, what type do you do?

I was a pro for about 35 years. Doing everything from models to studio stuff. I was an instructor and a guru to many an aspiring novice.
I gave it up for a few years, it got too much for me but find it to be as much fun as ever with the onset of digital. I love photo-journalism as well as abstact photography. I've been published and have won many awards for my work. Photo essays are my favorite, right now.

Rick,
Have you posted any shots of the outing yet? Let us know when you do.
Thanks.

It's pretty bad, the NEX Photography Coordinator can't even keep his own photographs coordinated!

Actually Stan, his camera was in his car because of the rain that day. I love to bust his chops BUT can't fault him for protecting his equipment.

Malfunction of software occured, download was completed correctly as indicated by my desktop photo. I'm sure that they are here somewhere but can not find them. I put them in a folder "august" but lost it.
My mind went that way too.....I'm still searching for it....search and rescue mission was assembled and deployed, search and recue party for that party was also sent out...no trace of either party or my mind....Will continue to search. FBI called off search 1 week ago, Coast Guard is still in it though.
