Default New owner here

I just bought a 2005 Coupe with 35k miles on it. I drove it home from Houston to Dallas and it drove like a dream. I have the TPMS light. I saw a sticky about moving a pin on a cable under the dome light so i guess that will be my first mod. Any suggestions on other mods? A company in Houston called Eurocharged sells a tune. Has anyone tried it? Worth the money? Thanks fro any suggestions.

Welcome to the forum !
Yes, many here have the EC tune, and I have not seen anything negative about it.
( I too have the tune, along with single CAI and 74mm throttle body - made a huge difference )

Do you have a link to this CAI and throttle body? Would i need to inform Eurocharged of those parts for their tune? How do i remove the dome light cover to move the TPMS wire? I see no screws. Thanks

Welcome to the forum! I would suggest you consider the sticky key mod as one of your first preventative DIY's. I will be curious to see what you think of the EC tune - is your car standard or automatic?

This is a reference to how the key will "catch" when turning the ignition on. Some have been left stranded from it.. about 1 1/2 hours of bonding time under the dash..

Ok i found a sticky with a pdf for that sticky key fix. Anyone know how the dome light cover comes off? I don't want to just pry on it and break it. I want to do the TPMS elimination mod.

Use a credit card..or drivers license along the edge.. gently working it around.. start at the back.. it just "clips" into place..

Welcome to the forum, best of luck with all of your planned modifications, with the TPMS are all the pressures at the recommended PSI? They are very sensitive and all four wheels can't vary by too much. Make sure you use the Search on the forum, almost everything you need to know can be found there.

Do the sticky key mod soon, mine locked up three weeks after I bought the car, and drove it the 2,000 miles to home. Had it failed on the way home....

It is way easier to fix it BEFORE it freezes up.

TXCF - the sticky key fix is pretty easy. I did it to mine about a week after I purchased it. You have to crawl around a bit under the driver's side dash to take the lower trim panels off, but everything else is easy.

thanks for the welcome. I'm a bit overwhelmed with the blizzard of mods on the crossfire. I'm doing a lot of searches...asking questions. Getting yelled at a bit for doing so. Where are you located? What do you offer?

LOL.. yelled at.. wait till your opinion differs with someone else's..

Learning the search engine is your best friend.. in the middle of stereo install.. 5 minutes later instead of 20-40 you have your answer..

And actually a lot of past efforts.. failures.. adventures you will find are interesting reads..
