Default New member - hello!

Greetings

I'm Teagan from Newbury in Berkshire and have just stumbled upon this little community today! So hi fellow awesome car owners and interesters!

I bought my 2004 red coupe Crossfire in January 2012 and have never looked back. My first sportscar and one I am more than happy to keep for as long as I possibly can!

Johnny (yeah, I named my car, I'm one of those people...) is my main commuting car and on a good tank, I've managed to get 31mpg out of him.
Interested to know what the max people have got out of theirs?
Lowest I got was something like 10....but that was on a track in Wales!

Anyway, just a quick intro and a hello and I hope to make some of your meets in the future to see what inspiration I can get for tarting up Johnny in the future :-)

Welcome to the forum Teagan. 31 mpg seems to be about the norm for these cars. Do you have a 5 or 6 speed?
Can't imagine only getting 10!! You must have really been floggin that puppy.

Welcome to the forum, sounds like you are enjoying the car. Remember it's not miles per gallon, it's smiles per mile.

Nice way of putting it. Right now I am getting 26mpg and at least 2 smiles a mile!

I got 29.7 on a LONG, 3000 mile trip this summer - but I had to drive the car like my grandmother would. But that's ok, I was on vacation and just relaxing. Most of the time, it's about 24.

Worse I get is when we go to "The Tail of the Dragon" - those weekends I'm not sure, but at times I'm sure I'm getting lousy mileage. Never measured it, maybe I will this October!
