New Old Guy
Hello everyone, my name is Mike Watters. At the end of January I purchased a 2004 Crossfire off ebay. Have always loved these vehicles and being I was in need of new transportation I decided it was time to get a Mercedes. Got a great deal on the car that had only 45,000 on it and as a bonus, it was only 15 miles away from my mother in Bradington Beach, FL, which gave me a chance to visit her for a long weekend. As an added bonus.....got $54 tickets on Spirit from Detroit to Tampa on a Saturday flight! As if that wasn't enough my wife and I got to do a great road trip with the car right away and were able to include a overnight stop in Atlanta to visit my nephew and his family, who we hadn't seen in over 4 years. Then of course there was that unfortunate $432 ticket from the sheriff in Georgia, kind of made up for the cheap air fare.
I found this group while I was shopping for the car and have already used the helpful posts to take care of a few minor issues.....power seat relay, map light repair, headlight aim, steering stabilizer replacement.
This is just a great place to learn about the vehicle and how to keep it in tip top shape!
Thanks for all of your help so far.

Congrats and welcome to the Forum! Add to the ownership experience and look for the get-to-gathers with other owners. I went 2 years of ownership before I joined one and now have vacations booked for them this year..

Welcome to the community. Nothing like breaking her in right eh? Yep this is the site for crossfire owners, Glad to see your figuring out how to use it so fast. I do love the way everything is segregated into appropriate departments for easy research and exploration.

They outright ADMIT is it simply a way to help with the state budget.
My friend got one of those, 66 in a 45 - just over $450 - and she runs a driver ed program for the state of Georgia!
Don't listen to VALK, all the cool kids go to this for their first meet:

I was only suggesting the Woodward Dream Cruise & Meet - August 16, 2014 - Michigan because he lives in Michigan.
Welcome to the forum Mike. Sounds like you already paid your dues.
We need just a little bit more information.
Color?
Interior color?
Transmission?
Or just a photo will do.
Woodward Ave. is the obvious place to be at the end of August.
But the Dragon is the most fun place to be in the Fall.
As "MRMIATA" mentioned, GTG's with this group is the "icing on the cake" when it comes to Crossfire ownership.

Here, you'd still be in jail waiting for the judge to return from vacation.
Welcome. Glad you found us. If you are the new old guy, I guess that makes me the old old guy even though we are the same age. Everyone owes it to themselves to make a Dragon GTG at least once.
Graphite Metallic Clearcoat, Black leather interior automatic.
Woodward is the place to be in August, but it really starts up in June and then just builds from there. Of course it's really best to avoid Royal Oak. My other vehicle is a pre-ford '84 XJS Jag.
