Picking Up My Crossfire Today
Picking Up My Crossfire Today
Hello. I am new to the forum obviously. I first loved the crossfire's when they came out while I was just finishing up high school.
I have since started my career and family. Finally I have gotten to the point where I am picking up this car today as a weekend vehicle.
Lucky for me they are much more affordable now.
I am paying $10K for a black limited auto roadster convertible with only 33K on it. Does this sound like a good deal to anyone.
Does anyone have any advise for the cars anything I should know.
Thanks and I am excited to be a part of the Crossfire family.

Welcome, JWCrossfire!
You don't say what year your roadster is.
In any case, the price seems very good for the mileage.
There is much to learn about these exotic little cars and their quirks and you'll learn it here
from those who know much about them.
Enjoy your roadster. It sure is a fun ride.

Welcome and congratulations on the purchase. You got what sounds like a great car at a great price. It is hard to find one with such low miles.
There is the also the plus of your car having been built on the Black Line. There is a pretty strong rumor that only the best and fastest of the Crossfires were built on that line. They were all painted Black to proclaim their specialness.
View any needed repairs as long term investments. You are going to love it.

Re: Picking Up My Crossfire Today
The Crossfire is out of mothballs, washed, inspected and legal. It required a new battery but I still have a parasitic draw. Almost certainly the amp, so that's to be checked soon. Airbag module ordered from ebay. Older issue who's time has come to fix. Darned ESP/BAS light came on with the new battery and won't go off. I'll scan the car soon to see if it's the yaw sensor or some other bug. I most likely won't be road racing anymore SO a more streetable suspension will be swapped in when I'm able. I checked the threads on removing the center console, radio and ash tray. Yep, ash tray took a dump this year too. The list is long and growing as I drive the car more. I'd forgotten just how violent my car is. My heart can't take WOT just yet.
