Do do I need this for my Chrysler Crossfire will it help as far as throttle response or what

 

That is a HOT air intake, not a COLD air intake.
Some run them though like mrmiata, don't know what if any gains.

Does anybody make properly curved metal (chrome) feeder tubes that can be attached to the air box?
That alone would be a visual improvement over the black plastic flex tubes.
And how did you guys get the larger round entry point in front of the radiator instead of the narrow ovals?

 

You can have plastic parts (like the OE intake pipes) chrome plated just like a metal part. I found this out on a 1971 Toyota Corolla Coupe at the age of 16 when I removed the headlight trim pieces to, I thought, polish a metal part!

 

The intakes at that point are silicone or rubber and are flexed to go through the odd shaped holes.

 

The Chrome would crack when flexed on those OEM intake tubes.
