Talking Howdy folks!

New crossfire owner here.

I bought a theft recovery vehicle an 07 coupe to be exact. The thieves stole the PCM, BCM and Relay module and also broke the driver side window
Fortunately that is all that is wrong with the vehicle. No dents, dings or any evidence of accidents or anything of the like, it is very clean for a 10 year old car.

I have bought a PCM/BCM and relay module from craigslist and should have it connected by the end of the week.

I am sure to have a bunch of questions to ask you all in the near future.

Luis

Good luck with your project. You will like it.

Maybe someone can chime in on whether those items are VIN driven? RCM no.

Good luck with your resurrection of the 2007 Coupe. And welcome to Our Forum. Lost of experience here and any issues you come across most likely already solved by someone from this forum.

I am pretty sure the BCM is VIN encoded, and possibly the PTCM also.

Well something is definitely vin encoded.
I got the wires reconnected (butt connectors) on the BCM and the RCM and PCM wiring was still intact so that was a simple plug back in kind of deal.

But now when I turn the key nothing happens, no clicks no sounds or movement of any kind....except for the rear fin, which went up immediately after turning the key and hasn't moved since.

I plugged in a simple scanner and it reads a different vin than what it should. Guessing I will have to take it to get reprogrammed.

Does anyone here know of a shop or person in the Los Angeles area that can update the software?
