Default Just bought a non-running Crossfire and I'm excited about it!

I just bought a red roadster naturally aspirated non-starting Crossfire, and I'm having it shipped to me. It should be here next week.

Depending on what's wrong with it, the plan is to either get it running again with the v6, or maybe do a M113k swap.

Does anyone know which shop in Dallas did LantanaTX's v8 swap? Or how to get a hold of skaterJosh to talk about a swap? (I'm in Texas so I'd rather go with a local place if possible).

Josh is Josh Chase in California on Facebook. It was my understanding that Lantana did a lot of the conversion himself, as rode with him in his car at the Dragon, that was how I understood his story.

Default Part 2: "I Bought A Non-Running Crossfire and I'm Excited"

Sooo, part 2.

I spoke with Josh about swapping a supercharged v8 into the Red Crossfire convertible, but first I was going to try to get it running with the stock v6. If that failed I'd put in the M113k v8. But the PCM was missing from the car, so I needed that to get it going. I contacted the seller and she still had it and is shipping it and the engine cover to me! Hurray!

BUT

In the meantime I was poking around on Copart and found a blue "run and drive" SRT6 convertible for sale in my city with what was characterized as "burn damage" but didn't really look bad. I went to go see the car and it wasn't badly damaged at all. It had some plastic melted onto the top that came right off with some gentle prying and some mold on the passenger seat from a leaky convertible top that needs to be sealed along the seams. And it had a eurocharged tuning chip in the truck and a Needswings CAI under the hood. So I, like an idiot, bought a second convertible Crossfire about 4 weeks after buying my first one. My wife is not pleased. I told her the 3700 dollars (before fees) I paid for the fully-functional 85,000 mile convertible SRT6 was a steal that I couldn't pass up and that I'd sell the red one once I got it running.

So now I have a blue SRT6 convertible Crossfire that runs like a rocket (and passed state inspection today) and a red convertible NA project Crossfire. The wife says if I get a third one she's divorcing me.

I think I might have caught the Crossfire disease.
