Default 2005 Crossfire Roadster

I have a 2005 Crossfire roadster with 34K miles. I have been told by the dealer that I'm looking at $8000 in necessary repairs (new water pump, transmission oil has seeped into the main wiring harness, etc.
There is not a mark on the car with new tires and perfect wheels. I have elected to not repair it and am keeping it in a heated garage for someone who may need parts. Living in northern Michigan, there are very few Crossfires so the demand for parts is almost nil.ff I may be of help to someone in t he Crossfire community, please fee free to call upon me. 231-267-3069 or bspencer2948@gmail.com

Don't take it to a dealer. Take it to an Independent repair shop that works on Mercedes. The mechanics are all 2004 Mercedes SLK320. The Dealer is way out of line and doesn't know how to work on it anyway. It should all be easy fix.

Thank you for your message HOWEVER, the mechanic who worked on my Crossfire is the ONLY knowledgeable mechanic within 100 miles.& presently takes care of two other Crossfires and a Viper. Mercedes won't touch the car and we have no independent Mercedes mechanics here in Traverse City that I know of. I failed to mention that the ECM is also shot and has to be cloned as well as the rear window has come loose and has to be sealed. My MAIN concern is that if repairs would be made, then what next fails. I would not feel safe driving any distance from home. My wife & I enjoyed many summers with the car but now its time she be retired. Again, thank you for your comments & concern

1) See my sigline.

2) I know a few forum members that buy 'parts/lost cause' cars. I will put them on to this.

Why part it out? Just sell it in the market place. There are many members here who can repair that car on there own. Parting out a good car makes no sense to me. Such a waste.
