Default Red Spoiler Warning Light

Hello, My Crossfire is a 2006 roadster with less than 2000 miles. I just took her out for a ride yesterday and now today the windows won’t go up or down and the spoiler is stuck in the up position. I have tried to put the spoiler down using the dash switch, but all I see is a blinking light in the center of the switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the fuse that is specifically for the spoiler. It is under the hood in the fuse box that is in front of the Driver side (American Side). I think it is fuse number 20 in the manuel. I know that when it is pulled, the spoiler light blinks and it is stuck in whatever position it was left in. It might be blown and you need to replace it.

However, I'm not sure if it affects the windows, so it could be something else. But its worth a try.

I found that when my spoiler decides to go up on its own that I have to turn the car off and back on again. chrysler still can't tell my why it does it, and they can never manage to reproduce the issue. hope this helps

Maybe your Crossfire caught wind of a female Crossfire.

Actually, this seems to be a preliminary symptom of a number of other things happening. Usually the spoiler stops working at the same time as the windows and the radio. There's also been people with gearshifting problems, as well as the ESP/BAS/ABS lights coming on. Unfortunately, I don't believe there's ever really been any resolution to this problem.

Be sure to post what the dealer finds, keep us informed.

Thank you for your post...I tried your solution, but no beep. I have an apt. with the dealer today to take a look at the issue and also address the TSB on the coolant fan.

Cool Re: Red Spoiler Warning Light

Well, I just got back from the dealer and here is the scoop. I returned home with a loaner car (PT Cruiser) wow what a giant step backwards. None the less it appears that after talking with the Tech's in Germany that one of the 2 onboard computers is bad and is going to be replaced. I'll keep you posted.

The issue was corrected with the dealer replacing the BCM or Body Control Module.....I'm a happy camper again

Yes....the dealer was and is fantastic, a rare find. They were just tops, the service tech is Crossfire certified and owns one....a plus and the owner of the dealership owns a SRT-6. Truly a dealership the can talk the talk and do the walk.

Good to know,,,,Who's the dealer and where is he located?

I have noticed that the spoiler seems to automatically deploy anytime there is a problem with the car. I had it happen to me on two occasions:
1) Low tire pressure
2) Low battery voltage after winter storage

Must be a safety thing, also noticed it on quite a few pics of wrecked car

The dealer is Suresky located in Goshen NY right off route 17. Just to follow up on your reply, I have kept the XF on a battery tender all winter. The issue came to light when I parked it in the garage after taking her out for a spin for the first time this season. I noticed the spoiler was in the up position and really did not think much of it. When I went to take her out the next day, the windows and spoiler would not go up or down. Further the little red light was blinking in the toggle for the spoiler control. Please keep in mind that in the year sense I've have purchased her new, I have only 1900 miles odometer. The FX is purely my Sunday drive.
