DC/No VA/Baltimore Owners check in
Thirteen, we'll definitely do something in the fall in the Blue Ridge. This would be much more practical for you coming from Tennessee. Advance notice will be forth coming.
Hello Everybody,
I got my 05' in July and am loving it. I'm all over the region, but am based in Annapolis, MD. All the nautical "theme" on the car goes great with all the yachts and boats around here. I'm glad I found this forum, but stumbled upon it AFTER I bought the car. I was in an RX-8 Forum, until I read too much on there about the problems with that car and decided to give up on it. I'm glad I did.

Welcome to the forum and to the XF community, you'll get pretty much what you need to know about the car from the members here. I wanted to let you know that we're trying to put together a trip to Ocean City (see this thread https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ad.php?t=11753) and it would be great if you can join us. I'm heading over for Saturday only and hopefully will get a little convoy going that morning. Let us know if you're interested.
Take bud!
Take bud!
All,
I am in the Air Force and currently stationed at Patrick AFB in Cocoa Beach Florida. Yes, I know it's a rough assignment, but someone has to do it.
Anyways, I am being reassigned to Bolling AFB in DC and I am looking forward to joining your group. Do you hold regular get togethers? Also, I am looking to rent a house in the area. Does anyone have any leads?
Kevin

Let me be the first to welcome you to the area.
We do try and hold GTG's... there's a lot car shows in the area in summer in which I try to make it to with a few other XF's, we always have a great time no matter how many of us turn out (normally the trips to and from are the most fun).
That's not going to be an easy transition, Florida to Maryland... no more 75 degree Christmas days.

Welcome to the area K!
We are a fairly loose group but do get together if the weather/time constraints align...let us know when you get situated and we'll discuss GTG opportunities.
Happy New Year!

I'm sorry to say that the wife and I had to let go of our baby (yellow roadster). We're expecting our first REAL baby in July!
And unfortunately, the Crossfire just doesn't measure up as a "family vehicle."
We kept things in the Chrysler family, however, and got a brand new Aspen. I'm thinking we could actually park the Crossfire IN the Aspen.
It was tough giving it up. The Crossfire's a fantastic ride. Had it for two years and we drove the heck out of it. Over 60,000 miles and it still looked showroom new. Took it on several cruises and went to a few shows, enjoying every minute of it. We always had people stopping and staring, with a few of those curious souls coming up to ask us about the car or just to share their admiration.
I'm glad we could meet a few of you fellow auto aficionados. Perhaps one day I'll find myself once again behind the wheel of one of the finest vehicles made. It's been a great ride! Hope to see you all again one day!
Take care and drive safe!

Oh boy... I was just going to write you guys about meeting up at the car show in DC (end of Jan). Well, just because you don't have an XF anymore, you are always welcome here. The car show offer still stands, hope you can make it.
It was great meeting you guys and congrats on the new family member(s) (baby + car)!
All the best to you both in the new year...just a parting shot of you both for the DC area folks.
