MEET: JUNE 9th, ROOSEVELT FIELD MALL!
Gosh I wish I still lived on Long Island. I'd be there for sure!!
In my youth, I spent more Saturdays and Sundays hanging out at Roosevelt Field than I am comfortable admitting. It was a short ride on the bus from Hillside Ave. I remember the place well before they put a roof over it... when Gimbels and a lot of other long-gone stores were still there. In fact, they didn't cover it until about a year before I graduated HS and moved to the city. And I haven't been back since '71. I can only imagine what RF looks like now.
Have fun y'all.

Well you got us Advanz, there were at least 3 Crossfires there (Frank, I think I saw Tony arriving as I got to the perimeter road) and not another car in sight. You know what they say, You can fool me once... Don't come here lookin for participation again. Even if you decided to cancel due to questionable weather you could have posted here at the last minute. We can only assume it was a scam from the outset.

I was there at 12. I was on the second floor, saw 2 E classes, a C. and decided to go on the roof, (got a bit crowded to fit 20+ cars).
I drove around the WHOLE parking lot with TWO E92 BMW 330i at around 1ish. Then drove around the WHOLE parking lot with the TWO E92 BMW 330i at around 1:45. We were looking out for crossfires. all we saw was a weird looking sebring. We manage to find 2 lost E46 3 series.
Later after the pics, 2 SRT-10 showed up, a STi Showed up. Mustang, a beat up e36 m3, a beat up MK4 GTi. There was alot of us. I didn't find you guys.
here's some pics.

*EDIT* and look at REPLY POST # 19. it says.
lol correct.
Actually, arriving around 11:30 - 1:30, as some audi/e46 owners prefer a little later, like 12:30 - 1:00 pm, just letting you guys know!"
I left at 3:45. along with Eurotechnik's E46 coupe. and 2 c classes.
Another reply...

Apologize for the scam accusation, you obviously were there but so were we. Xfire 2005 covered the entire lot by himself between 11-12 and the 2 of us covered it from 12-1 PM including the roof top parking where your pic's were shot. As we were leaving I saw a crispy1 arriving but I don't know if he ever hooked up with you as I saw him from far away. I guess your group wasn't obvious to us as a car gathering and we certainly didn't see a bunch of guys hanging out anywhere. Again sorry for the accusation but it was very frustrating coming in from Suffolk in questionable weather and then not finding anyone there.
I was there drove around saw no one, i did see two fender benders i hate driving around that mall.
I think a better place to meet is the back of Tri County in Levittown or Airport Plaza in E. Farmingdale both have huge lots and sections are empty even on weekends, and easier to spot each other.
Thanks for the invitation advanz, maybe next time.

this time was called "failure for communication".
I was there at Roosevelt Field at 11;10 a.m. on Saturday. 6/9/07. Yes, I know i was early, but you, ADVANZ, seemed anxious to have Crossfires there, I liked the concept, and i thought I would show up right on time, or earlier, to keep our end of the"bargin". While waiting, I cleaned my windows, "Iced" the whole car, applied my "Powered By Mercedes Benz" plaque to the engine compartment. (Reviewing my copy of your post that I brought with me) tried to figure out which floor was the "second floor" (was it the as marked, "ground floor" level - one above the as marked, "below ground" or as marked, "lower parking level", or maybe it was the as marked, "middle level" which was one up from the as marked, "ground level" (my description of the exact wording might be slightly off as i was not taking notes at the time), or since all of the parking levels in the parking garage at Macy's did not have numbered floors as I was led to believe by your post stating to meet on the "second floor", maybe it was the roof as marked, (upper) level that you meant. I still do not know, as I literally drove through every level of that parking garage at least seven or eight times (I was stopped by the Security force Jeep Liberty, asking me what I was up to, as I was almost continually driving around the parking garage looking for you and/or anyone else from MB, they probably thought by now, that I was some kind of stalker or pervert). Questioned what little sanity I had left, I proceeded to drive all the way around the perimeter of the mall (BIG mall) thinking to myself that perhaps it really was in another garage, discovered two other garages, did my crawl in each, found nothing, heading back to supposed original site as I thought it was described. Checked my oil, while I listened to half of a CD I like (no, it did not take me a half of a CD to check my oil) , and then buggy4crossfires showed up (we met by chance as he and I crawled the parking garage going in opposite directions looking for objects resembling Mercedes Benzes in gatherings appearing as numbers greater than one). Both of us proceeded to the Roof again, exchanged pleasantries, discussed the possibility that we had been "scammed", dismissed that saying that those guys wouldn't do that. buggy4crossfires mentioned that he checked the thread before he left his house and did not see any cancellations (I came from a Doctor's appointment and could not check before coming). Soooooo, we talked for 5-10 minutes and said let's try again and went on ANOTHER Recon mission through the entire garage, left the garage again, drove around the whole damn mall again including imitating stalkers in the other garages checking all floors of each. Came back to the alleged site of the meet, stalked the innocent women and children in the purported garage site one last time, went up to the roof AGAIN. We then decided after deliberating for at least 15-22 seconds, that no one else was coming and left at about 1:00 p.m. or so, since 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. had long since passed. The inviting post stated that;
"MBWORLD.ORG has over 10+ cars going,
E46fanatics so far has 8 members going,
E90fanatics so far has about 8 members as well,
a few audis will be showing up.
expected;"
In an effort to be fair and objective, I would estimate it would be reasonable to expect at least 10-15 of the "expected" 28 or so cars, would be there by 12:30 as the post stated 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m was the start time.
I waited to Sunday to write this I thought it wasn't a real good idea to do it yesterday after my wonderful, exciting, and I might add, EXTENSIVE tour of the entire footage of the Roosevelt Field Mall accessible to an automobile.
Giving the benefit of the doubt to Advanz, no hard feelings, BUT, I might suggest to you that when you set up a "meet" in a shopping mall multi-level garage, that you describe the floor location using the nomenclature that the mall uses (not "second" floor as you stated, but "middle level" or such as they call the floors ON THEIR POSTED SIGNS). Additionally, if "your" people sometimes, or usually show up much later than the written 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (I added the use of "a.m" and "p.m." for the purposes of clarity) meet time, it might be a good idea to let the newbies know.
Mark, it was good seeing you, and Tony, sorry we just missed you.
To all poor souls reading this missive, I wish you a good weekend and work week. Sorry for the length of this thesis, but I kind of wanted to "vent" a little. It was good for me, was it good for you???
P.S. Looking at your first picture, it also shows that when this eventually happened, it was on the NORDSTROM side of the parking lot, not the MACY side as you stated.

if you read reply post #19. I state that cars will be arriving AFTER 12:30.
"Actually, arriving around 11:30 - 1:30, as some audi/e46 owners prefer a little later, like 12:30 - 1:00 pm, just letting you guys know!"
If you are a regular at the mall, that is called "macy's parking lot".
If there is a problem, next time I won't bother with crossfire. I was just trying to gather you guys for a meet as well. There WERE mercedes by the roof top around 11:30, 2 e92 3 series driving around the whole lot to get everyone together. Apparently I'm still blamed for "scamming" crossfire.
I mean, all audizine/e46/e92/mbworld/mbklasse got there and had no problem. I don't understand why you guys frustrate over this.
