Newbie in Fredericksburg (Black 04 Coupe). I swear there weren't any crossfires around until I got mine and now I see them all the time. (Might be a bunch of summer drivers, who knows)

These are the ones I have seen in Fredericksburg, belong to anybody here??

Alabaster Roadster - couple times
Alabaster Coupe (05+ limited) - See in random spots frequently, might be a couple
Black SRT-6 Roadster - Only once
Black Coupe (05+ Standard) - Once, did the nod.
Blue Coupe (04 or Limited) - Frequent - Route 1
Red Coupe (04 or Limited) - Frequent - Route 1, Cowan Blvd
Yellow Roadster - All the time at hospital
Yellow Coupe (04 or Limited) - Couple times
Gray something - Once from far
Also parked beside a Black Standard at AMC Hoffman center in Arlington once.

Anyway just thought I'd see if any of these drivers were here, I'd really like to get a better look at that SRT-6. Also wouldn't mind finding a N/A that I could listen to. I think mine has a ticking sound and I can’t confirm if it’s all in my head or if it’s a problem without hearing another.

 

Live over in Harrisonburg, I think this the Crossfire capital of VA, I know of 5 roadsters and 4 coupes that are around all the time, only1 that Iknow of is on this forum from time to time. 1 of the roadsters is an oyster gold. Mine is a graphite with cear 05

 

Any interest in meeting up?

 

I jst picked up an 06 blue roadster. SWEET! I live inFredericksburg, and yes I am into having a meet-up, someplace cool.

I hadn't seen a blue roadster around and I caught a glimpse of one the other day, I will have to assume it was yours. Cant remember exactly where but I think it was off of Rt 1. Def down for a meet up sometime, even if it is just to grab a drink or something.

 

Probably was. I was at Britt the day it showed up, and bought in on the spot. I traded my 98 Sebring conv. for it, and ended up paying less than $20k. The sebring has almost 120k miles so I didn't get much for it. Perfect timing too, as I just built a new garage!

Not sure when to meet, I am busy until the weekend of the 25-27 July. But I am not going anywhere that weekend so if you want we can meet on the 5th. May I suggest the Hard Times Chili and pool hall near the Falmouth Bridge on Rt. 1.

 

Anyone interested in Statewide meetup some where cool or a cruise....any ideas.

 

Skyline drive would be a cool cruise, and a nice place to meet, have a BBQ!

 

Skyline Drive is a good idea, and reasonable to get to. I think the important thing is to first nail down a date... and decide who is the "Virginia" trail boss...

 

This weekend (5 &6) is OK for me, otherwise will have to wait till the 25-26-27. as far as the trail boss goes, doesn't make a difference to me.

We may be getting together on the 5th in Fredericksburg, I suggested Hard Times as a location, but I havn't heard any feedback on that.

In two other threads in this part of the forum, folks are talking about a meet-up and cruise in Staunton, VA on the 13th. In another thread there is talk of a meet on the Skyline Drive, but that is going to be later in July or early August in order for me to make it. Not sure I can make the 13th either.

 

Anytime would be great for me, just need to nail down the details. We do need a "Trail Boss' to coordinate everything.

 

Okay-- let's all agree on this date? I proposed the Staunton meeting, and will let those who respond know the change of dates.

Skyline Drive sounds great-- can I suggest we meet up at the tourist office in Rock Fish Gap, then head south to Peaks of Otter?

Somebody else will have to start a new thread and coordinate everything as I'm off to LA the week before it all happens.

I like the Skyline idea, sounds like fun, can't do it this weekend - WORK, and the 11th/12th next have to help my daugter move to Arlington from NJ. Will make it if I can. There are a fair # of Crossfires her in the valley - but unlike the Chicago clan - we have never been able to pull off any kind of GTG -

 

If we can, I preffer that we shoot for this weekend (5-6), I am probably not going to make it the weekend after that (11-13), and then we are out of ton the weekend after that (18-20).

May be best to wait till the 25-27 weekend, get the word out there and have a better showing.

 

okay-- there are six of us on this thread, and the July 25-26-27 date seems to be the only weekend that we can all meet up and cruise the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I am going to post a new thread (BLUE RIDGE CRUISE) and I'm going to ask everyone who is interested in meeting up to please post comments/commitments only on that thread.

I am going to Hard Times, but will probably walk, If I see anothe CF I will introduce muself. After that will take the car out for a cruise around town looking for a gathering. I know they usually happen Friday night, but with all of the celebrations yesterday...

Will probably end up at CP at the diner there, ihey usually gather on Saturday I think.
