Crossfires of Maryland (COM)
Are you stepping down as secretary? Just a one year term............or is that that you young guys just don't know how to write anymore????
We just dont like having responsibilities. Also with the amount of things we all discuss, my ink to paper ratio are not that great
hmmmmm interesting. i guess that does mean we need to discuss the members of the board for next year.
Please chime in if you want to be voted on as a member of the boad. also please post of you no longer want to be a member of the board.
Jason---President
Paul----Vice President
Dave B-----Treasure
wyatt------Secretary-----stepping down
James-------VP of operations..........lets change this to Secretary of War hahahaha. James....what do you want you title to be?
As long as you aren't selling your crossfire.............
that isnt going to happen. Wyatt will be an old man in a nursing home, chasing girls in his 2004 crossfire.

I will see you guys tomorrow at the Hwy n95 Rest area around 1:15-1:30 PM>. I am bringing a buddy...in case you need to know that.
BTW - I am really looking for another car so I am not always driving the Crossfire which has now reached 101,000 miles (ugh - but they have been good miles so can't complian)
I am looking at 2009-2010 Volkswagen CC and I am torn...I would love to find a 4-Motion, but the ones I have seen seem really high mileage and are hard to find. So now I am tossing around the VR6 vs the Turbo 4....the 6 I am more comfortable with and has more people pleasers in the package, but the 4 gets better mileage...I am just an old hat and think I am not going to like that 4 cylinders - any of you know these cars well at all, or have one? Any insight ?

on the subject of the new daily. i just have to say you have the crossfire for play, get something that you can keep in the road for 200k miles and keep the crossfire as the toy. you want the daily to be reliable, and have a good MPG, it needs to be comforable and have all the perks, but it doenst need to be quick. you can go home and fire up the crossfire if you feel the need for speed.
okay.......................now that we are talking busines; here are 2 questions that require a vote
1. Membership dues should be collected . It is admirable that we are trying to get people to join our parent group (CICCI) but I don't think it should be a "mandatory" requirement for joining COM. Like all things..membership has its benefits. Com dues.......$10 a year / $5 for CICCI members
2. COM car shows. All members are eligible to win awards. COM members can only vote for President's Trophy. Lots of members have put time and effort into their vehicles. It is only fair that the general public be allowed to vote for all XZ-fires on the showfield.
Please consider these questions and be ready to discuss tomorrow! See ya at the Crab Deck!
I will also have my Headlight restore kit with me if Figgy is still interested in getting them done!

Guys, enjoy the day. I wish I was going to be able to make it. Too much on my plate and too much driving to deal with the time constraints. I have to be down in Virgina for my bosses retirement party and when all is said and done, I'd be on the road about 6 hours today with coming out to the Deck and back and then down into Virginia and back. It's still possible I may try to make it but don't count on me.

I'm in favor of both submissions.
for those of you who were not at the GTG today, let me explain this post
that saturday, i went to a car who with the Fury, looked at several chargers. came home, crossfire still in my driveway. by spending the rest of the day getting things fixed i mean i took the car to Lancaster PA and traded it in. i no longer have the Blaze Red 2004 Crossfire. I traded in the car on a 2005 crossfire with half the miles and with a warentee. i honestly couldn't deal with the issues, since the car is my daily. the crossfire i have now is Aero Blue. and yes the spoiler does stay up all the time......because its a SRT.
Well i did go look at a couple of challengers today, dont worry the crossfire is still in my driveway. I spent the rest of the day getting the exhaust and the check engine light problem taken care of. I do now have a problem with the spoiler being up the entire time. i push the button and nothing happens. I checked the battery, its fine. even with the car off, the spoiler will not go down. since i can now get the car inspected i am not really worried about the spoiler issue that much. but it wouldnt hurt if you guys could look at it with me at the GTG.

Someone update me on how the GTG went yesterday. Beautiful day. Hope you all enjoyed. Wish I didn't have to miss it.
As far as the new SRT. I got it two weeks ago..........when i said i was talking to a man about a coupe. hahahaha i wanted it to be a suprise so i didnt say anything about it. I was just having too many problems with my red one. kinda missed seeing that little spot of red in our line up, but then I started up the SRT and i was good.
Crossfires Across the Bay was a huge success. We had some new faces in the mix and I am sure that we have garnered some new members also. I did have a sign-in sheet to track attendance.DSave gave a recap of the success of the Car Show and our Prez managed to inform the group of different events in the near future. I volunteered to start a quarterly newsletter with our first edition coming out in January. More details to follow. We got some great feedback from this event and got some great ideas to do even more on the other side of the bridge. I will step up and fill the void created by Wyatt stepping down; at least until someone else wants to do it. I will be sending electronic membership applications to everyone so that we can maintain a file as to who's who. This will happen as soon as we vote on the membership dues. We also need to come up with a mission statement in the near future. I would submit that we complete the last two tasks( dues and mission statement) no later than 15 November. The club is growing . Let's make it the best!

Hey Dave, I'll let you take the lead on the Natty Boh car show. tell us the time and where to meet up please. I'm contacting the Ghost Ryderz club about their event. Remember, we need to get alot of people to the Ghost Ryderz show. We will be supporting them, as a "thank you" for supporting our show. I'll post times and meeting area for the GR show soon.
