Default Shops in the 206

Hi, I'm 100% new here. My Crossfire has 100k miles on it. I've owned in since 2006 and it's been truly a fantastic car with 0 problems. Last December i noticed it was leaving a spot in my driveway and found out my transmission is leaking. I've heard this can be a easy fix but a tranny shop quoted me $1000 just to put it in the air so they can look at it. At the same time my heater control stopped working so I pulled out the fuse so I could turn it off and not drain my battery. Does anyone have a shop near Seattle they trust with their Crossfire? I'v heard and read about horror stories for the Crossfire and mechanics but I really love my car and would like to keep it for a while longer. I feel like I've been ripped off by the shops I've used in the past. It's like as soon as they see the car comming they see $$ falling from the sky.

Just got my 2005 back from the shop with same problem, leaking tranny plug connector. Part cost $23.68. Top off trans fluid $24.32. Labor $94.00.
Mechanic said this was a common problem.
