Default Lowest mileage Hemi Cuda on earth - ebay

Thought some of you might want to see this and bid.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Plymo...mZ160086906063

I may be wrong, but 1-2 years ago, wouldn't this car have sold for a lot more than the buy it now price today?

I thought I read somewhere that a white hemi cuda ...must have been a '71 went for over two millions dollars. The price on this one has definitely fallen although it is sure one basic looking car other then the hemi engine. If we had only known what these cars would go for today it would have been worth buying one back in the day and storing it...oh well hindsight is wonderful isn't it?

That car was used up in those 76 miles. It's becoming well known in the Mopar world.
It's a really rough car that has been cut up and patched back together again.

I looked at the winning bidder....With karen in her ebay name I figured it was a woman...for as far back as I could find most ebay purchases were for clothing (lots of bras) and 60's era rock star stuff most all under $20. While there was one jewelry item for over $300 there was also a $12 CZ ring.

These are sure a long way off from the $899,000 claimed to be the winning bid. This has got to be a joke!

I'm sure your car is impressive with its drivetrain but those wheels seal the deal for me, just had to say that.

And once again another "BOGUS" Hemi Cuda auction is conducted on EBAY just to artificially "inflate" prices on these cars.
This is exactly the same way the whole "Million Dollar" Cuda phenomena got started a couple of years ago, then Craig Jackson (of Barrett Jackson) got in on it, and the rest is history.

Hmmm...

If we started having some bogus auctions maybe we could actually raise the resale value of our cars!!! LMAO.

Another excellent example of this "bogus" bidding happened at the Barrett Jackson last year.
Some guy auctioned off his pristine Amphicar for well over 100K. Which at the time was 3 times the class 1 book value for these cars.
This year some woman supposedly paid over 80K for another Amphicar. If this was indeed an actual sale (and not a "staged" event), she probably thought she got a bargain.
This sort of scam is so much cheaper to do on EBAY, and still reach 1000's of
potential buyers, that it's becoming even more and more common.
Karl, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it wouldn't work for us too.
It's probably only a matter of time before somebody tries it.

I didn't realize all this "bogus" stuff was going on...must have my head in the sand or something. Good idea with our Crossfires though lets get those bids high enough and who knows what might happen.

hmm if money was no object i'd purchase it and drive it around my personal track just to enjoy it... but money is an object to me therefore that is one helluv a over priced auction ... bogus sounds about right ...

but then again something is or is not based on what your thoughts are ... such as online property like in second life (a online video game of sorts) ... to me those are some crazy people for paying real money to own virtual property but it sure makes sense in their minds ...

odd and right ... to each their own no matter how odd it may be hehe. good find !

Guy doesn't know much about what he's selling(Mopars): ..."Bill removed the 2x4 intake, the complete exhaust system, rear third member, the rear wheels and tires and the front shocks..."
The Hemi cars came with Dana 60's, not 8 3/4s, which had removable third members(center section). PERIOD. And what's up with the non-rally dash?

I think you're a bit mistaken.
The Hemi cars had 8-3/4" rears with the automatic transmissions and the Dana 60 when equipped with a manual. The 8-3/4" rear has the removable center section. That's what I've got under my car.
A rally dash was optional on the cars and had to be selected on the order sheet. It did not come standard on any of the vehicles. Even the AAR Cuda and T/A Challenger had to be ordered with the Rally dash. They came standard with the non-rally cluster.
It's common for a drag car to be a stripper. They're not going to order anything that doesn't help the car go fast.

As a muscle car enthusiast (and owner/builder) I'm pretty familiar with the vehicles.

In the "Hemi automatic" cars, I believe you got the Dana 60 if you ordered anything over a 3:55 gear ratio.

It was still an optional rear end.
Saying that anything was standard on old Mopars is dangerous. There were frequent exceptions to every rule. Quite a few E and B body convertibles were produced without the chassis reinforcements that came "standard" on 'verts. On the other hand, there were some basic 318 coupe and hard top variants that did have the extra bracing.

Nothing was set in stone.

Feets, I don't know how to respond to ya. I'm not arguing with what you said. I simply stated what was told to me buy the new car salesman, when I went into my friendly neighborhood Dodge dealer in the fall of 1970 (approx, 3 months before you were born) to spec. out a new 1970 Challenger RT 440 automatic.
I was told that If I wanted any gear ratio higher than a 3:55, then I would need to order the Dana. I asked him specifically, did that go for the Hemi too? He said yes. That being said, I would assume that meant the 8 3/4" was the standard rear end that came with the Hemi, (which I thought you were saying also).
My 1969 Hemi Super Bee, had the Dana, it also had 3:91 gears.
That's all I was saying.
