It's a Matte World
Looking on AutoBlog and I'm looking at this post with some awesome cars in a matte finish. I personally love matte finishes and think our cars would look great in a 2-tone scheme because of the lines of the car are great.

My fav.
Matte finish always looked kinda dull to me... I even repainted my walls into a slightly more glossier satin finish... I think on cars It would be even worse... especially black or gray.
Sorry just my opinion.

I think I mainly like it more because it looks like a larger clay model from when designers are first putting their ideas from paper into 3-D form. I do agree that you need the right colors. I think a dark grey would be the best since one of fav colors is gunmetal.

The original black glossy finish was lightly sanded, then paint was applied, followed by a layer of clearcoat. After another round of sanding, a layer of clearcoat mat was added. The mirrors, the radiator grille, and the trim strips received a coat of silver mat instead of black mat."
