Unfortunately it won't be coming to the States because there seem to be less than 500 people on these shores who actually think "performance car" and "station wagon" are spiritual opposites. Hell, it's hard to find anyone who thinks "cool" and "station wagon" should be spoken in the same sentance.

And so Dodge kills the Magnum and gives us the Journey. A sad commentary on American taste in automobiles. Seriously, with the likes of this Audi, the Magnum SRT8, BMW M5 Touring or MB E55 AMG Wagon why would anyone in a warm climate such as SoCal even consider a similarly priced SUV? I just don't get it.

This Audi is awesome and I'd love to have one!! I'd be just as happy with a Magnum SRT8 though.

Yeah but can you put a 4' X 8' sheet of plywood flat on the floor like you could with a 65 Plymouth station wagon? BTW, the tops of the driver's and front seat passenger's windows pulled outward out of their frames at 115 mph on that 65 Plymouth. Will the Audi go that fast?

Awesome vehicle.

Does anyone know if the following statement relates to the fuel economy (Meters/liter)?

Remarkably efficient combustion is the result. The engine is thus content with a standard consumption of 13.9 litres – a very good figure in view of the potential offered.

i think standard consumption is per 100 km.

so 13.9 liters per 100 km

= 3.67 gallons per 62.1 miles

= 17 mpg

It'll probably go that fast with a couple gears yet to be selected. And the windows will stay put.

But there is that pesky 4' x 8' plywood sheet issue still. And the fact it ain't a MOPAR!!!

I still like it though.
