Idsera at the 'Ring
I spotted what I think was an Idsera CW311 outside the Dorint at the Nurburgring, but it may have been some sort of replica - the build quality was more '70's Lotus rather than MB. I liked the little periscope in place of the door mirrors!

Only footage I have is from last year's sighting laps I'm affraid. I posted it up some time ago. No heroics, just learning the circuit and trying to keep out of the way of the fast guys! It had been raining and was slippery as hell in places - the bikers were getting refunds on their tickets after a few of them had come to grief! I will be back there early next year (and Spa) for a proper crack at it.
Here's the vid (apologies for the rattling camera battery!)

Well I thought I was special spotting a black Porsche 928 in a parking lot.
As to the Veritas, I hope those are rocket launchers above the rear license plate and not exhausts.

We're wandering OT here but,
I use a couple of things; a suction mount from Hague and a home-made G clamp lash up. The suction mount is very versatile and can be stuck on the rear window (as in the ring vid) my old camera was a bit heavy for it so tended to vibrate slightly, but it is much better with my newer DV camera. It really comes into its own when stuck on the outside of the car. For in-car shots I now use my old Sony Video 8 clamped to the bulkhead on a rather crude, but effective mount. A lot of the trackday guys are now using those little 'bullet' cameras. Amanda's little SD camera she had at Marlow would be great on a little suction mount. We ought to sort out a proper filming session at on of the meets.
Here's me and Steve UK at Cadwell with both cameras mounted up:

..and the two mounts.

..and a couple of vids using them. (Usual reduced youtube quality and I'm not sure how to get youtube vids to embed properly here?)

Actually I'm stretching my memory, but I believe that car is an Isdera Impetrator from the mid-80's. It built by Isdera as an homage to the mid-70s Mercedes C111. It uses and AMG Derived V-8 and puts out around 400Hp.

I’ve got a DV camera too - so maybe we need to think about using a meet to make movies.
I was right.. here's a link to the Isdera Imperator 108i (otherwise known as the CW311). Here's a vid of the car racing a track in France.

An interesting story about the Idsera is that after the falure of the DeLorean Motor Company John DeLorean tried to start the Lousiana Motor Company in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was to assemble the Idsera in the U.S. Louisiana was thinking about offering him some incentives but eventualy the deal fell apart. One of my other cars is a DeLorean so I had been following this story years back.
