I never knew Mini's used Chrysler engines.
I haven't driven one, but a former popular forum member (with a growing family) "AeroBlue" liked it enough to turn his NA Crossfire back in to get a Mini. But I think the handling, and the back seat probably had a lot to do with his decision.

The minis' engines (N/A and S/C) were originally designed by Chrysler and built in South America (if I remember correctly) and then finally were ditched when they "redesigned" the mini's and now have a different motor (N/A and turbo).
I will admit that the cars handle VERY nicely but that is about the only performance feature that is good (to me) on that car.
"Supercharged" according to Webster's:
To force air and/or fuel under pressure into (an internal-combustion engine) to increase it's power.
Covers both, even one of those infamous "ELECTRIC" virsions. LOL.

I know what the definition of supercharged is...you'll still never hear me call a turbo car "supercharged". There's a big difference between the two and how they eventually achieve the same goal of forcing more air/fuel into an engine.

I've heard the term "boosted" when somebody was referring to (N2O).
Moparrbust, it's no big thing, you say potato I say...well you get it.
I just think the word Turbo is the one that's become the most generic, that's all.
