Default Affordable Eco-Sports?

Saw some snippets from the recent LA show, and found the Honda CR-Z interesting. My first coupe was a CR-X Si when it first came out, so this particular series has a special place in my heart.

The design seems to be in the love-it-or-hate-it category (much like, dare I say, the Crossfire?).

Maybe in 2011, this can become a daily driver, while the SRT gets to be pampered in the garage

Whaddya think?

I like it.
Love CRXs too. Friend in high school had an 87 (I think) CRX Si and it was a blast.
I'd love to find a low mileage CRX Si that has NOT been all riced out.

Don't know if I love it or not...would need to see more of it, but I will say my first thought is I really like the look.

We purchased a red 84 CRX when they first came out, paid $7k for it, replacing an 84 Vette I kept less than 6 months. It was the first brand new Honda I had ever owned and made a true believer in Honda products out of me. We flat out LOVED that little car.
If I could find a super low mileage "un-modded" 1st.years edition CRX-Si, I'd buy it in a heart beat.
The CR-Z looked very desireable. But at $30k, (msrp) I think another Crossfire would look even better.

Just received this from Honda:

---------------------------------------------------------------
The CR-Z Hybrid: First Concept, Now Reality
---------------------------------------------------------------

We wanted you to be one of the first to hear: The highly
anticipated Honda CR-Z hybrid concept will go into production
and will be on sale in 2010. Shorthand for "Compact Renaissance
Zero," the CR-Z is the answer to many people's desire for
sporty, efficient and environmentally conscious transportation.
It's all part of Honda's commitment to help effect positive
environmental change.
