Here are some pics I came across about an SLR McLaren Mercedes that is made entirely out of white gold. It is owned by an oil billionaire from the Middle East. I have head some tall tales about the powerplant, but am skeptical...

Anyone else heard anything about the beast??

The guy that owns that car is El Hadji Diouf. He's not an oil billionaire but rather plays soccer for the Blackburn Rovers. Also, the car isn't made out of white gold; it's mirrachrome paint from Alsa Corp.

 

You are correct about the paint, but there are at least two of these on the road. El Hadji Diouf's has different wheels and a British plate on it, this one is in Dubai from the look of the background. I am sure it belongs to some rich arab.

I knew someone would know some more about it. I got an email claiming it was white gold with some ridiculous powerplant and knew very little to be true - now I know none of it was true LOL. Cool car, thanks for the info.

So is the powerplant just a stock SLR? (not that there is anything wrong with that )

 

White gold or not, the McLaren 722 has to be one of the finest cars on the planet.
