Did anybody see this on Woodward?

11.6 in the 1/4
A Rudy (Accelerated Industries), Rob (NeedsWings) and Marcin (Speed Driven) modified XF can do that at a fraction of the cost!
So who's gonna work on converting our doors to open gull wing style!?
Missed that one. The only thing I don't like about it are the headlights......everything else is a fine tribute to the original gullwing MB.

Mike - there was one at our weekly Cruise In a few weeks ago. I was not impressed by it at all. For that kind of money I could have a Cobra for every day of the week!

I did not see it at Woodward, and in the video the weather looks waaay too nice to have been on Saturday. I would have loved to have seen one in person, I am in love

I think Mercedes went too far to keep the car "understated".
As Tigh pointed out, I could simply change the ring and pinion in my 15 year old Dodge and put down a 11.5.
John, it did clear up Saturday evening, remember? But I can't remember what day I saw the Merc parked on the East side of the road near 15 mile.
Joliet J, driving with the doors up fit's right in with the general " Automotive Circus/Mardi gras" atmosphere of Woodward.
One year I saw a guy driving a one-piece fiberglass bodied "67 Mercury Cyclone" Funny Car, with the body tilted up at a 45 degree angle as he drove down the street. In his defense, it was pretty hot that year.

[quote=Joliet John]I think when you're driving a 6 figure car, you don't need to push for any more "Look at me!" factor.quote]
You got a point, it does seem to be a popular practice with Bricklins, and Bradley GT's as well.
But I think it's mostly for the kids, 6 figure cars usually means nothing to them unless it looks like a Lambo, and the new Merc doesn't look that radical.
