Cobra Update
I promised you all some pics once I got the sidepipes done and wheels switched out. Well the wheels were put on this morning. Had a slight problem with the fronts rubbing my brake calipers. That was corrected by a 1/8 inch spacer. So my wife tells me I'm done for now.
You all have a great summer!

Thanks guys. Mike there will be stripes but to do it right they have to be wet sanded and then clear coated and its gonna be expensive. They are also gonna have to remove the windshield. Since I went full boat with the wheels I have to wait a while on that for a bit. Considering this car looked like a carnival ride back in January when I got it, it's come a long way.
I finally let my son drive it yesterday but not before a few laps in a parking lot.

my old eyes are tired tonight Pat...did you chrome the side pipes? Love the wheels...look like 3 piece set up....love that color, as I have had a Camaro, Vette, and my big rig in that color....looks fantastic...
Thanks all - Doc - The pipes were ceramic coated "chrome silver". They don't turn gold at the bend where they come out of the body like a traditional or polished pipe. The ceramic coating also adds a layer of insulation so you are a bit less likely to get your leg burned getting out of the car. The rear wheels are a standard size, they are 1 piece. the fronts are a two piece wheel because I got a special backspace. The spinners bolt on to a cap that slides through the center of the wheel from the back then you lock them for extra protection with a set screw. They are bolt on wheels. They do have a polished cover for the wheel nuts but I ran out of money, maybe after the summer. I'll try and get some closer pics when the weather clears. I swear I got them on the car and the next day and today have been wet and ugly.
