Default McLaren store in Newport Beach, CA

I took a little drive along the coast today and stumbled upon a brand new McLaren store in Newport Beach. They technically aren't open yet, but they let me pop inside and snap a few pix as well as sit in one of these beauties. Actually very easy to get in and out of and plenty of headroom. Unfortunately for me, however, the almost $300,000 sticker price is just a wee bit out of my range.

They had three cars in the showroom (white shown here, orange as seen in the background, and the black one I sat in) plus a rolling chassis and an ex-John Watson F1 car from the '80s.

Apologies for the lousy shot here - it was taken on my phone and the sun was coming in through the window of the store and the windshield of the car.

This is the ex-John Watson F1 car.

Another example of the MP4-12C sitting outside the store. You can just see the front of my car reflected in the window.

Awesome reporting job, Mike. Do you know what the official name of the orange colour is?
