2 Seater Fun
Well with the newly established footing that the fiat automotive group now has in US soil we might see a few more alfas here and hopefully with out the 45% price markup!

Alfa Romeo, Alfa Romeo. Where art thou Alfa Romeo? Looks like the Italian brand is going to take a little longer to return to the U.S.
Fiat's sporty Alfa Romeo brand will be reintroduced to the U.S. starting in 2013, not 2012 as planned. That's bad news for the 100 or so U.S. Fiat dealers who signed up to take that brand because they were promised models from Fiat's Alfa and possibly Lancia brands to fill their showrooms. U.S. Fiat dealers currently have only the Fiat 500 mini-car to sell."The icing on the cake for us as retailers is the Alfa Romeo franchise," is how Fiat dealer Carl Galeana puts it. He operates Fiat of Lakeside, in Macomb, Mich., north of Detroit. Many Americans still are nostalgic for the Alfa Romeo, the car that Dustin Hoffman's character drives in the classic film, The Graduate. Economic uncertainty in Europe is prompting Fiat executives to review what products to launch where and when. Alfa said the 4C, a two-seater, still is planned as the first U.S.-market Alfa Romeo. The fate of a U.S.-market Giulietta, a compact that's considered roomy, stylish and powerful in Europe. A car based on the Giulietta is expected to be built in the U.S. by Fiat-controlled Chrysler Group and sold as a Dodge.

I saw a red Competizione up at Woodward last year, it is such a sweet lookin car. Of course for a 1/4 Million $$, it should be.
If I was a multi-multi millionaire, I might consider one. But I can think of at least a 1/2 dozen other cars I'd like to have in my collection for the same amount of money. By that I mean there are 6 more cars I could buy if I had $250k to spend on all 6.

I don't think they would be able to be any more than 30 35 grand it's 4 cylinder motor if they are more than that who would spend that kinda money I would think they would need to keep it in the miata genesis coupe brz frs price range if they want to sell them.
EDIT: Car & Driver estimates a price in the mid 50s. Extensive use of carbon fiber to keep weight under 2,000 lbs is a big reason. Here's the link...

The price in England will be "just under £50,000" according to Richard Hammond of Top Gear Fame. http://www.mirror.co.uk/lifestyle/mo...3-alfa-1722952

I would have to asume that the concept car displayed at the Geneva show highlighted the use of carbon fiber and definitely attracted a lot of attention. I wonder what carbon fiber will do after 5-7 years on the road this car is in the price range of being a daily driver for people who live in snow little and snowless states up untill this point super cars and super cars alone utilized carbon fiber tubs chassis and body's this will be a first! I read also they only plan to bring 1000 a year to the states so this tells me that this is only an appetizer to what we will see from Alfa depending on the response of course.
