Default selling 1 2 seater to but another

The deal is done! Just bought a 1965 Corvair Corsa Crown Conversion. Always wanted one but hard to find one done right. 275 HP 327 with a 250HP shot of NOS sitting in the back seat. Car weighs 2900 lbs, 47/53 front/rear weight split. Will need my kid to help me upload some pics.

I would love to see more photos of your new car. The Mark II Corvairs were great lookin cars, and a blast to drive. (My Dad had a yellow 65 Corvair Vert for a short time). I can't imagine what a 500+hp mid engine one would feel like.
I've only seen about a half dozen "mid engine" Vairs over the years, and I have a question. What kind of rear axel does it have , IRS, or straight?

The Crown Kit uses the original IRS Corvair suspension. It's similar to the mid sixties Vettes.
The diff is the weak link, if I dumped the clutch the diff would detonate, however once rolling it stands up well. The diff is rated for 240 hp so the 327 is a nice match. Won't pick the car up until May. Again I'll try to get some pics posted soon.

That's why I asked. I didn't think the original differential would hold up to that kind of H.P. Sure hope you got some great selfcontrol. That would be an awful tempting combination to cruise around with and be good all the time.
But when I think about it, the differential in the Crossfire probably isn't that much better.
