Hello members,
I'm a new member, and this forum has helped me in a huge way with my 'new' '05 XF. Thank you all.
My Dad, Bill Cole, was a member of the SCTA and a club known as the "Strokers" from Whittier, CA. He had a large format camera, and shot color film, which was quite rare in those days.
Attached are some of these images that I've scanned. Enjoy!

Al, I believe the 'So Cal Speed Shop' tanker car is still around, or one just like it.
Every so often, you hear of a tanker car turning up somewhere in Southern Calif.
My dad kept some of his hotrod things into our childhood (early '60's), I remember the boxes of parts. We even had a surplus drop tank in our barn. When dad sold all of the parts, the drop tank remained, and one of the halves made a suitable canoe for our pond. The good ole days...
