Question Ford Uses The Great Steve McQueen To Sell Mustangs

Do you think Ford can only sell it's new RETRO syle 05 Mustang buy using a dead star .I first saw this add and only wondered why? The new Mustang should sell itself .If it's any good.

Ford advertising costs this quarter $150-200 million. Most ever spent!!

Maybe they're saving $$$s because Steve cheaper than a live Star !

I like the spot.

I had a new '88 Mustang GT 5.0 5-speed convertible, for 10 years.
I loved the V8 power!

I finally like the new styling. Best job since the 70's.

Hewlett-Packard uses Who music to sell computers, Cadillac uses Led Zeppelin to sell cars and trucks, some people call it demographic marketing, some call it "selling out". Everything should sell itself if its any good...but reality illustrates that "its the sizzle...not the steak" that sells.
