I had a Pontiac Fiero for 27 years. Only sold it to buy the Crossfire and no room in garage for Fiero.
I admit I was intrigued until I saw the fine print at the bottom of the ad.

Pontiac 'kick started' the muscle car era when they dropped the 389 V8 in a Pontiac Tempest & called it the GTO.

Although the Olds Rocket 88 of 1949 is usually recognized as the first muscle car.

There were "Muscle Cars" before the GTO. One example would be the 1963 Dodge Polara with a 426 Wedge engine and Cross Ram manifolds. There was also the 1962 Dodge Dart with the 413 etc..
Chrysler missed out for having the "1st Muscle Car" title, because GM had a better marketing group.
Pictured below is the 1963 Dodge Polara.

There have been a few companies that can make modern Camaros into Firebirds. Then again, if you have enough cash, you can build anything! LOL

I never new that. I always think of the 1960's era.
