One of my co-workers has a son-in-law that is babysitting a Ford GT for a few weeks. She is meeting me and the Mrs. over there today after work to check it out. Have lots of batteries and compact flash cards - so major pics are in order!!!

I don't think I'll get to drive it, but "Who knows?"

 

cool car... i have only seen 2 so far to date in my area on the road. a white & red. they sound awesome heading down the road.

 

it's funny because my Dad actually test drove one at a Ford dealership near Lake George, NY. Unfortunately, I was not present at the time, so major details will be missing. Nevertheless, my mom and dad were looking at houses "for fun," and my Dad was just looking at the Ford GT at a nearby dealership. He had the CTS-V while at the dealership, fyi. A salesman comes out, tells him that the car is for sale for $235,000, and asks him to test drive it. So, my Dad got to test drive it, and, to my surprise, he told me that he wasn't too impressed. To this day I don't know why my dad didn't like the Ford GT.

 

the price has really come down on the gt...in some cases under msrp. i found a couple in the auto trader for $139,995.

then some others...near $300,000. obviously these dealers are still clueless on the market.

I just got back. The car was unbelievable. The guy who is babysitting it gave me a good long ride. It corners, handles, sounds like no other car I personally have ever seen. It was really unbelievable...

He got it for $164K but the dealer tried to jerk him around into spending $175K. He stuck to his guns (and his contract) and got it for $164,000. Now I have to go change...

 

but does his alarm system work? LOL

 

yeowza. that is one sweet car. what a job they did -- there's a couple that show up at the car shows on sunday mornings. they sound as good as they look.
