'69 Lotus Europa S2

'70 Lotus Europa S2

'74 Lotus Europa Twin Cam Special

'84 Lotus Turbo Esprit

'05 Lotus Elise...deposit down/on order CAN'T WAIT

'70 MGBGT (the year with the chrome 2 piece rear bumper)

'84 Honda CRX 1.5

Datsun 510, at this point don't recall the exact year, the poor man's BMW of the day...tricked with some suspension tuning and some sticky tires.

And of course, the '04 Chrysler Crossfire

Okay... Now I have some time so here goes.....

1967....... '55 Chevy 2 door Hard top had a 265 but that was replaced with a 327 Duntoff cam w/ T10 4 speed.

1968...... '57 Ford 2 door wagon. 312 bored 30 over with 3/4 Dempsey Wilson cam and another Borg-Warner T10 4 speed.

1969...... '68 Datsun 2000 roadster. (Went in the Army in July of this year).

1971...... Returned from Viet Nam and bought my first Corvette.... 1970 396 375 hp.

1973..... Started building my '67 Chevelle. Ripped the 260 ci 6 cyl. out and dropped in a stroked 396 (now 427) with a B&M 4 speed Hydro. 3,200 rmp stall Big Banana torque converter. Dana rear end. I was stationed at Ft. Meade, Md. and used to run the car @ the old Capital raceway. Turned low 10s. Not bad for a street toy.

1975.... First trip to Germany. Bought a '69 BMW 2002 Turbo tap. Fun car. But that same year I also bought a '65 Alfa Spider. Now that car was a Super Fun Car!!!

1978.... Returned to the States and bought a '76 Chevelle 350 (4 bolt main) bored it 30 over (383 ci) with Hooker header side pipes and had a turbo 350 trans. w/ B7M shift kit. Holley 780. And swivel bucket seats.

1979.... Back to Germany... Bought an Opel Commador... 327 Chevy with 4 speed and quadrajet. Dumped the quadrajet for a 650 Holley and bought my first Harley. a 1980 80 in. Wide Glide. Played with the bike more than the car.

1982... returned to the States and the civilian job market. Bought a V6 Mercury Capri with a Porche Carrera Whale tale on it. It actually fit the car very well. It was a fun car until 1985 when I bought another Vette.

Traded the '85 Vette for a 1987 Buick Regal Grand National. Twin intercooled Turbo V6. Nice car!

Also in 1987 built a '70 Ford Mustang Drag car. 351 Windsore Bored 30 ocer (383) dual 650 Holleys. Crane roller cam and Compitition cams roller rockers. Performance transmissions compitition C6 trans, W/ Hurst ratchet shifter. Tubed rear end w/ Dana 60 and Henrey's 3 inch axles. Mustang II front suspension. This car turned low 9s and high 8s. It was also street legal.

1989.... The local Drag strip closed (Suffolk, Va.). I sold the Mustang and Buick and bought a Dodge Ram pickup and a Master Craft Tournament ski boat and played with that for the next 5 years.

1995, Bought the wife a '95 V8 T'bird and myself a '95 Probe GT. Both okay but nothing to write home about.

1997 Bought a '97 Chrysler Cirrus. Good car until 70k miles then it went down hill rapidly. Tranny went as did the a/c compressor. Swore I would never buy another Chrysler product.... The MB heart of the Crossfire is the only way Chrysler got me back.

1999.... Traded Cirrus for 1999 Ford Explorer (still have) Got remarried in 1999 and the new wife had a 1993 Buick Regal G/S.

2002 bought a '87 ford ranger 2.9l V6 for a project truck. It's ready for paint but now I want to drop a 302 V8 in it. Paint will wait.

2003.... In Oct. we bought the Crossfire and sold the Buick.

So right now we have the 1987 Ford Ranger,
1999 Ford Explorer and the 2004 Crossfire.

I skipped a whole slew of cars that O bought at a low price did a little work and sold them for profit.

Also from 1965 until 1972 my Dad and I owned several different Midgets and Sprint Cars. Befors I went into the Army my ome track was ASCOT park in Gardena, Ca. The last sprint car was a Curtis Chassis with a Hilborne injected Offenhauser. I had my last race in that car in 1972 in York, Pa. ( I was stationed at Ft. Meade, Md) The car was destroyed and I had a Spinal compression injury. The Army told me I had to either quit racing or quit the Army. Not a hard choice since I was getting paid to Fly and it was costing to race.

Mine's pretty quick and easy:

1982 - First car, '73 Dodge Dart Swinger with a new Earl Scheib paint job. Slant 6, 136K miles, set me back $850 hard earned (trust me!) ones.

1983 - '71 Chevy Malibu - A little old lady selling cosmetics at the Walgreens I work at decides to get a new car. She sells me the 12 year old Malibu with 60K miles and a green hack paint job with drips galore (done by her nephew or something). My beloved Dart Swinger gets kicked to the curb as I raise the $950 needed to buy the Malibu. Side note: The little old lady liked me and she didn't need the money. The 350 V8, 245HP Malibu assumes its destiny as my college car, providing scintillating power as I drive back and forth between Phoenix (1500 ft. above sea level) to Flagstaff, AZ (7,100 ft. above). Also demonstrates what aerodynamic styling can do, as the 12 MPG delivered in city driving goes to a whopping 14 MPG on the highway.

1987 - '88 Red Chevrolet Beretta GT - The kid graduates from college, is making the whopping $22K a year and moves to the big time. 2.8L MFI engine, five speed manual transmission, performance handling, this is not your grandfather's Beretta. Sweet car, engine ran flawlessly the whole time I owned it.

1993 - '93 Eagle Vision TSi – Chrysler moves from the outhouse to the penthouse with it’s line of LH “Cab Forward” cars. The kid has moved a notch or two up the management ranks and the Beretta will no longer do. The LH cars are in full ad blitz and the Vision TSi combines practicality with performance and sharp looks.

2000 – ’00 Chrysler 300M – Since the 300m introduction in ’99, the kid has the hots and vows one day to own one. Fall 2000, model closeout time, the deal is just too good to pass up despite the kid’s vow to drive the 109K mileage, perfect condition Vision “till it drops”. Side note: Chrysler has subsequently ditched the Eagle nameplate, no one knows what it is and few calls on the resale market. This is the final insult after years of being asked “How’s the Intrepid running?” by family and friends. Coworker steals a beauty for $4,300.

2004 – ’04 Chrysler Crossfire – ‘Nuff said

Not the end.

Don't have much of a history yet..

1991 Chevy S-10 Pickup... My brother and I shared it, and modified it. We redid the exhaust, headers back... changed the intake, the ignition system, threw a short shifter in it etc.. Was a great truck, sold my half of it to my brother for the downpayment on my subaru..:

2002 Subaru WRX... Modified it too  Ran a 13.4 at the track last summer... have had it for a year or so... louder and more unique than allll the wrx's here in alaska. :-D

2002 GMC Sierra SLT .... Every possible dealer modification.. Winter beater... kept it 3 months and gas cost too much

2004 Crossfire... wanted something quick like the WRX but comfortable like the Sierra... ... and got it 8)

Next on the list.... a HOUSE... or a Skyline.. haven't decided..

First car was a '57 Beetle. Been about 12 Beetles (couple vans, too) since then with the odd muscle car and truck thrown in here and there plus a Toyota Van (When we were stationed in Okinawa). More interesting, perhaps, is what my Crossfire shares driveway space with now:

'49 Chevrolet 2-Ton truck (currently undergoing a frame-off resto)
'49 Chevrolet 1-ton truck (patiently awaiting restoration)
'57 John Deere 420 Standard
'69 BMW 2002 (Desperately needs restoration)
'73 International Loadstar 1800 Dump truck (Still workin')
'81 Kubota B6100
'95 Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins dually
'98 Sebring (Wife's car)
'00 John Deere 6x4 diesel Gator
