I am by no means a Ford guy. I've always been with mother MOPAR, from owning Dakota trucks, a Ram, the Jeeps, and now the Crossfire.

That being said, the blood in my veins may be blue, but not For blue and have no blue oval tattoos on my body; however, I could see myself behind the wheel of this car.

Who knows, maybe the era of muscle cars is returning... I would sure like that, for I am about 20 years too you for the kind of cars that suit my liking.

I shouldn't worry about it, they were basically crude cars that rusted out as you looked at them.
Of course I liked them and I would like one but todays cars leave them behind.
Nostalgia is a funny thing.

Chevy is looking at it's 6 cylinder 4.3...to twin turbo it, and match up to the 302...so, you might just see this...check out Jay Leno's Camaro...you will see what I am talking about. Chevy made one especially for him.

The new Boss302 would certainly be a fun car to own and drive. The new 5.0 GT is no slouch running 12.8 at 110mph in the quarter. Now with another 26 hp, wider tires, revised tuning, free flowing heads and intake and a tunable suspension..........this one will be tough to beat.

I wonder how bad they are going to price gouge them when they hit the showroom floors?!?

Do you use waxoyl in the doors and on undercarriage?

I just like seeing an engine branded with "302" (it's CUBIC INCH DISPLACEMENT - the way it should be! )

Well, I am 20 years older that YOU, and I have been saying "I was born 20 years too late" for a LONG time.

WHY?

Because, had I been born in 1940, I'd have been old enough in the 60's to own one of the great (IMO) muscle cars of the era, while they were new!

You mean like the EcoBoost that Ford has been pushing for the past few years?

Until 74...... I still remember when my dad bought a 74 Mustang II new off the lot. It was very appropriately painted yellow. What a dog. But that was the era of the gas shortage, and everything was a 4 cylinder POS.

I had a 72 Mustang with a 351 Cleveland and Ram Air. That is one car that I wish I still owned.

they were really strong...and yes, it all ended in '72, the yr I graduated HS....but the '69 Z I had w/ a host of other '65 thru '72...cars in my small town was just awsome...everyone had muscle cars...and hung out at all the gas stations in town...my town was 2500 people tops, with 5 garage/gas stations, where each competed w/ the other...we cruised the streets every weekend, hung out at the local drive in....miss those times for sure...I had a '69 Z28 in 1970 until I graduated in '72. I traded it for a '71 big block camaro in '73....had it 3 yrs, then onto a succession of corvette's....'74, '75...all the while racing motorcycles...life was good....lol

I have a 302 punched out to 347 in my Cobra and its a pretty darn fast engine. Its fuel injected and I was told it was dyno'd at 450 hp. What impresses me is how it starts when you turn the key and how smooth it runs. If I ever have to switch engines I'd probably use one of the new 302's, plenty enough power for a 2300 lb car.
