Default For the love of a machine

Just finished a segment on MotorTrend, Petrolhead Planet, where a driver just finished a tour of Northern Scotland dealing with magnificent scenery in a Porsche RS4.0, a limited production performance machine. He talks about his love for this machine.

“This car, I love it. This car lived at Silverstone as an experience car. They thought it was a preproduction car, actually they didn’t do it. The car has lived a life. And I guess the point is this is a super special car, only 600 made. The intrinsic value in this car, it’s not in the decal pack and whether the Porsche script and the calipers are perfect and whether there’s a chip free front valance. It’s about the way the thing drives. People spent dedicated months and years of their lives to get to this point that a car that makes you feel as good as this 4 liter RS, so I love it for that.

If you have a great car, or a car that you just love, enjoy it. Polish it, buy all means, on weekends, but don’t forget that the real joy of it is to come to somewhere like this, and drive the thing, just drive it.
